What if... good health didn't require another diet.
What if... your health could improve with little shifts to things you already do everyday?
What if... you made just a little time to focus on you?
What if...

Your version of good health is unique, but achieving it means you have to start somewhere.

That somewhere could be food.

•Where can you make room for improvement? •Where can you add in more vegetables?
•Where can you crowd out added sugar?
•What time can you make for movement to complement your nutrition shifts?

Are you willing to make small shifts for your health?

02/03/2026

Food.
Start with your food.
Why? Because if you want to improve health but are starting over again or beginning for the first time, trying to add hours with a new gym routine to your busy schedule might lead to burn out.

You already eat everyday. so build better habits with something that's currently in your daily routine.

Instead of worrying about items you should leave out, shift your thoughts into all the things that do help your health.

Simple steps to health:
1) Start simple by adding in veggies. Anywhere you can, at all meals possible. This can be simple with all the steamable veggies available.

2) Plan only a few days at a time to start.

3) Don't overthink meals. Veggies first, protein next, and a little room for starch and/or fruit.

You can do it!

Goals are good.

Did you reach any goals lay month? I hope so! Reaching a goal is something to celebrate no matter how big or small the goal was.

If you struggle(d) reaching a goal, why?
What usually gets in the way?
Have you ever set a plan to prepare yourself for when that thing creeps up?

I can't sugarcoat it, reaching big goals is tough if you don't have plans for any the bumps along the way. We all know that setting or talking about a goal is super easy but reaching it may not be.

How to make reaching goals easier:
1) Determine your big goal and the time frame in which to achieve it. Put it on paper.
2) Write down why this goal is important.
3) Write down any tools you need (exercise equipment, running shoes, babysitter, instant pot, etc.)
3) Set small goals to reach along the way so you have victories to keep you motivated.
4) Know there will be roadblocks and have a specific plan for how you will overcome them.
5) Understand that the plan may need adjusted if the goal is obviously unattainable **

**it's important to be realistic and make sure your goals don't harm your health, especially with drastic weight loss goals in short periods of time.

You can do it!

Does anyone actually rely on this inverted pyramid?

•I get it the frustration. It's the government putting out another guideline that isn't perfectly ideal and heavily influenced by those who give the most money. That's a story for a different time.
•BUT it is impossible for anyone to put information out there that is perfect for everyone.
•And that is why I won't use this diagram with my clients. Everyone is different.
•Is this an improvement from the pyramid that told you to eat 8+servings of grains a day? 100%.
•Is this new one good for those who don't eat meat. Nah.
•Does it finally show that you should consume less sugary food? Kind of!

Look at this thing as a guide and not the nutritional law. If you want help with your health, please seek out a nutrition professional. đź‘‹

One symptom alone may not be noteworthy.

But if you have a collection of symptoms that individually don't make sense and you're a woman 35ish or beyond, it's probably perimenopause.

Everyone thinks hot flushes and night sweats when some of the beginning symptoms are:
Feeling "off"
Forgetfulness
Itchy ears
Achy joints
Mood swings
Worsening of anxiety or depression on the back half of your cycle
Brain fog
Low libido
Not enjoying fun activities as much

Are any of these symptoms you are experiencing?

Food. Is. Everywhere.

The biggest way to avoid major overconsumption is to remove yourself from the situation. Get out of the kitchen or food area. Especially if you're a "grazer."

If that can't happen, be sure to provide food - like a veggie tray- that you can pick at and enjoy the company while being health-minded at the same time.

Holidays are awesome but also stressful to your body if you go or the rails with food and beverages you don't normally consume.

Enjoy the good stuff, ignore the stuff that's "just okay."

🎄Happy holidays!!

BEFORE YOU BAKE READ THIS!!

I'm here to save you A LOT of empty calories without sacrificing flavor.

If your cookies, brownies, cakes or cupcakes call for oil or butter, swap them out 1:1 for unsweetened applesauce.

It's a health game changer that requires zero extra effort or time.

1/2 cup oil or butter ranges from 840 to 980 calories and a 1/2 cup of unsweetened applesauce is about 70 calories. That's huge.

Note: if your recipe calls for both oil and butter, use the applesauce in place of the oil and keep the butter.

Try it this holiday season!

Unfortunately, this is not a complete joke.

Have your symptoms been overlooked? Not had appropriate blood panels drawn?

Were your blood chemistry results "normal," leading to your concerns being dismissed?

Have you received another prescription to "lose weight and exercise more," or a recommendation to simply take antidepressants for awhile?

As someone who has personally experienced thyroid issues, a persistent feeling of being "off" and fatigued without clear cause, struggled with stubborn weight, and been told that these concerns were unfounded due to "normal" results within conventional ranges, I knew I needed to proactively address my own health.

I am here to support you in advocating for your own well-being.
I am here to provide accurate information regarding women's health.
I am here to assist you in enhancing your nutrition.
I am here to guide you through the most confusing parts of your health journey.

A significant challenge in improving one's health is seeking assistance. The most important, yet often most difficult step, is simply to begin.
