You cannot control everything that happens during your day.
You might try to plan the meal you'll order at the restaurant only to find out it's 86'd and now you're stuck. You might find out your work surprised you with a catered lunch that's not health friendly. You might be invited to a last-minute happy hour after work and you LOVE that bar's wings and fries. Things happen.
Willpower can disappear when there's no plan in place to keep you in check.
BUT:
✔️You CAN control your grocery purchases.
✔️You CAN control what you keep in your home.
✔️You CAN control what you eat for breakfast.
✔️You CAN control what you pack for lunch.
✔️You CAN control what's for dinner while you're at home.
✔️You CAN control what's in the pantry and freezer.
So why exhaust your self control and willpower at home? That's the place that should as stress-free and as possible.
If you're using your willpower at home because you are surrounded by ice cream, chips, candy, soda and pizza but trying so hard to not consume those items there, then go out and are surrounded by the same things, the chances are Willpower will say, "Screw this, you've been trying so hard all day, just eat all the things."
✔️Plan and prepare for what you can control so your mind is ready to make good decisions in those though situations.
