🎉 Big congrats to Dr. Zachary Bohart! 🎉

We’re excited to celebrate his role in helping finalize Medicare’s Comprehensive Botulinum Toxin Policy—a major win for patients and providers alike. 🙌

This treatment helps people living with muscle spasticity and abnormal muscle tightness, including patients recovering from stroke, traumatic brain injury, or spinal cord injury, as well as those with multiple sclerosis or cerebral palsy. Access to this care can mean less pain, better movement, and more independence in daily life.

This is a great example of how doctors don’t just deliver excellent care—they also help shape the field of medicine, and the future of patient care through leadership and advocacy. Dr. Bohart’s work is making a real, lasting impact far beyond the clinic.

Well done, Dr. Bohart—and thank you for raising the bar for patients everywhere! 👏

❄️ Winter Safety Reminder: Snowblower Injuries ❄️

In the wake of a significant snowstorm — and with another potential storm expected next weekend — there’s a lot of snow removal ahead. While clearing snow is often unavoidable, it’s critical to use caution and never place your hands near moving parts when using a snowblower.

⛷️🏂 Ski & Ride Smart
With the long weekend ahead of us and many heading to the slopes, safety comes first. Whether you’re skiing or snowboarding, always wear a helmet and know the signs of a concussion if an injury occurs.

In this short video, UOI's Caroline Guglielmo, PT, DPT, highlights concussion awareness on the slopes and the importance of following proper post-concussion protocols before returning to activity.

Suspect a head injury? UOI offers prompt evaluations at all OrthoDirect locations, as well as specialized physical therapy at our Sports Concussion Rehabilitation Center.

Protect your brain. Enjoy the snow. Stay safe.
