Some of our staff members had an amazing oppurtunity to listen to Dr. Petra Klinge a Neurosurgeon with Brown Health Neurology speak on a topic prevalent in the hEDS community, Tethered Cord. (Some of you may know the providers in our office on trained to help these chronic pain patients)

It was incredible to hear about some of the ground breaking research she is doing and many projects she is working on to make care around this condition more understood.

One of the great projects she is working on with her team is creating a VAS (visual analog scale) around symptoms of Tethered Cord. To allow patients to better communicate what they are feeling to their providers.

She also gave a sneak peek into her research suit as well as gave us a little idea on how her research team is working on screening index/template PHYSICAL THERAPISTS can use during the Initial Evaluation process. How exciting!!!
