Wow- I see it's been about 9 months since I last wrote on this page. I spend way more time reading about friends on Facebook than I do posting about myself, so let's see if I can catch up on the past 9 months in 30 seconds.....St. Lucia (beautiful), Grenada (yuck), MD for my 16th episode of RI, a new grandson (beautiful), another grandson going on 7 (beautiful), 20th wedding anniversary (wow!), San Antonio to see my chef friend RI as well as an old camp friend RH (quiiiit!), daughters (now beautiful mothers) with one great son-in-law and another on the way. Many weekends in the backyard. Ok, I think I'm up to date. Until next time.....

What a different six weeks can make. A short while ago, a full day was treating maybe 12-15 patients, running some errands, preparing for a forensics lecture I was supposed to be giving at SUNY Farmingdale earlier this month. Now....yesterday I took the NYS Defensive Driving Course- and that was my accomplishment for the day. Crazy.

Anyway, if you missed it back in December, check out one of my recent Restaurant Impossible episodes this Thursday at 11pm Eastern. It was shot last summer in Delaware, and Ronald, the owner, was just a wonderful man. Another great RI experience, working with great, caring people. Chef Robert Irvine is just an incredible human being.

It’s been way too long.....heading down to DE tomorrow to volunteer in another episode of Food Network’s Restaurant Impossible. This show is amazing- makes real changes in the lives of real people who have real significant problems. Absolutely wonderful cast and crew- it’s a privilege to work with them.

Somehow this year is now 92% over. I have gotten numerous emails from Facebook telling me that my friends have not heard from me in a while, and while I don't think my friends are complaining in the least, I figured this is a good way to end those emails.
I don't want to bother my friends with random thoughts- but if I DID, these would probably be amongst my top 10. Grouchy old man or candid observer..........(you decide):
1) That appendage to the left of the steering column- it's called a "turn signal."
2) That same thing- consider using it BEFORE stopping to make the turn.
3) The reflective glass piece attached to the windshield- not just for checking one's face.
4) New law in New York State- about 30 years ago. Right on red after stop. (Does not apply in NYC)
5) When finished unloading the shopping cart, is it really too much trouble to put it back from whence it came?
6) Floss. Takes about 60 seconds. Really not that difficult.
7) Every politician runs on the platform "lower taxes, anti-corruption." How's that working out for us?
8) Floss. Directions on the package wouldn't help. Toothpaste and shampoo have directions on the package, but do we read them?
9) New York airports- where else can a traveler carry bags down stairs?
10) "Thoughts and prayers." Most over-used phrase of the year.

Wow.....has it really been that long since I posted something here? Days are getting shorter and colder- ouch. Anyway, off for a quick visit to see my friend Robert Irvine's new talk show. I love his enthusiasm when it comes to helping others. The man is a true inspiration 👏👏👏
