Recovery is possible and we can help!

Our Medication Assisted Therapy (MAT) clinic offers hope for those suffering from opioid use disorders. Medications are prescribed under the close watch of our physicians, administered by a caring nursing staff, and offers the best chance of recovery with support from Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselors and recovery groups.

Next week The Center's daytime programs (like outpatient therapy and the Drop-In Center) will be closed Thursday, November 27 and Friday, November 28 in observance of Thanksgiving. 24-hour programs (like The Living Room and our crisis responders) will remain open.

A Washington University study found out that our Drop-In Center provides "an environment that is peaceful where everyone feels safe. [Staff is] patient and handle clients with grace and are particularly skilled at working with unruly/aggressive and seriously mentally ill guests."

This allows us an opportunity to provide more mental health and substance use services to our community. You can help with donations of nonperishable, ready-to-eat food items, clothing, and towels.

Drop-In Center guests interviewed by researchers described staff as supportive, caring, and compassionate as they keep guests accountable to their goals and recovery checking in with their progress in a nonjudgemental way. A recent Washington University study affirms the importance of our Drop-In Center. Our Drop-In Center staff builds trust and relationships with center guests over the course of many visits. The study shows that Drop-In Center guests were more likely to make use of substance use, mental health, and crisis services. Building trusting relationships is improving the mental health of our community.

In interviews with Washington University researchers, guests of our Drop-In Center noted that the Drop-In Center and CBHC helped serve as a "one-stop shop" for many of their mental health and healthcare needs. Guests appreciate the wide variety of services offered so that they do not have to visit different agencies for different needs.

We were so pleased to break ground with our partners at St. Clair County and Middendorf & Reuss Construction on the JoAnn Pisel Center at our East Campus. Once open, the Pisel Center will offer 20 efficiency apartments for clients who are ready to live independently!
