Yes this a true story
So this kind of all started with some occasional bleeding in my ovulation window. It would be when there was hard physical activity like rock climbing or lifting heavy. It would also happen during s*x
I remember going to see a gyno for this issue in 2019 and was told it was "common" and as long as its not alot of blood, not to worry about it. No tests were done or images taken
Fast forward to late 2023 into the first 6 months of 2024 and now the bleeding is happening every month in the ovulation window (with physical activity or s*x) and its not just a little blood. Its murder scene status.
The interesting thing was it never hurt. I never even felt it happening. There would just be blood
So one of these times it turned into an infection, which is how this encounter happened
(Yes i did successfully get rid of the infection 100% on my own without antibiotics - and this was not just a minor infection.. it was so painful I had to crawl to get to the toilet because I couldn't stand up straight)
This gyno I went to see sent me for a sonogram and then never discussed the results with me. I called every day for 3 weeks and left messages for her to go over my sonogram.
Finally I got a call back and all she had to say was that I was inflamed and birth control will help me
When I asked why I was inflamed.. inflamed from what? She had no answer
So I find another gyno and immediately she says "i can see you have giant fibroids extending from your uterus and they are hanging out of your cervix"
Finally .. an answer!! But the option there was to have them removed, which would help with the bleeding issue but not the root of why the fibroids are there in the first place
This was the moment I dove headfirst into everything I could get my hands on about hormones, fibroids and estrogen dominance. I took continuing education seminars, read studies, ans devoured every book I could by every hormone and metabolism expert out there
What i learned completely changed my life. Even just one month in of implementation of what id learned, the bleeding stopped. Its been 2+ years and I havent bled again. The fibroids have shrunk. Continued in comment
