Sunnyside Care Center is an 80 private and semi private bedroom skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility in East Syracuse New York. Our compassionate and highly skilled staff is dedicated to providing the finest care while meeting the needs of our residents in a warm and caring atmosphere.

What a beautiful afternoon at Sunnyside! We had our first annual, community involved, Easter Egg Hunt! The residents were very excited to host this event, and the ladies were ready, wearing their Easter Bonnets. We had a surprise visit from the Easter Bunny who handed out participation metals and Easter bags for the kids to collect eggs! Five lucky kids found golden eggs and received a special gift! Afterward everyone enjoyed refreshments and socialized! Fun for everyone!!

The residents here at Sunnyside spent the morning with some students from East Syracuse/Minoa (ESM) high school. The students came up with the activities and worked with the residents to create and present them. The residents and students had a wonderful time! We celebrated St Patrick's Day all day here at Sunnyside! We started after breakfast with refreshments and some St Patrick's Day trivia, then Irish dancers from Johnston School of Irish Dance joined us just before lunch! Then we ended the afternoon with a big St Patrick's Day party! 🍀

What a wonderful day! The weather was finally nice and spirits were high! We had great food, drink, and music. We also had a visit from Senator Ryan! Senator Ryan handed out Valentines to the residents, had wonderful conversations, and answered everyone's questions! The residents really felt special they enjoyed the party and especially the visit from Senator Ryan!
