Sunnyside Care Center is an 80 private and semi private bedroom skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility in East Syracuse New York. Our compassionate and highly skilled staff is dedicated to providing the finest care while meeting the needs of our residents in a warm and caring atmosphere.

Thank you for all the hard work you do. Your care and compassion are evident with your knowledge of the residents which in turn keep them safe. Season’s greetings staff, family, and friends of Sunnyside Care!

Our giving tree for Christmas 2025 is in the lobby. Please take a bell off the tree for you to keep. Written on the bell will identify male or female. This will identify the gender of the resident you give a gift to. Please feel free to take a helpful list the residents developed as to what they wish for this holiday season, from the table. When you are ready, please return an unwrapped gift to the receptionist (by December 21st) who will ensure it is wrapped and given on Christmas. We had Richard Woodworth come entertain the residents today here at Sunnyside. Richard had hundreds of memorabilia pieces with focus on The First Ladies of the United States, some dating back as far as 1824. The residents enjoyed looking at all the items as well as listening to a presentation given by Richard with plenty of time for questions and answers. The residents were very engaged and had some great questions!

We had our first annual Trunk or Treat here at Sunnyside, despite the endless rain. We moved it indoors and had great community and family turnout! We had seven trick or treat rooms decorated and loaded with candy! After getting their fill of candy, the main dining room held a bouncy house, facepainting, a coloring table, arts and crafts, spider ring toss and the most popular carry the eye in the wooden spoon race! Of course, plenty of cinnamon cider donuts and apple cider. Everyone had a great time just check out these smiles!

Friendly reminder that Sunnyside will be hosting our first annual trunk or treat on 10/30 from 3p-5p 👻

This event is free and open to friends and family of Sunnyside residents and employees. Come dressed in your costume and enjoy candy, cider and donuts while playing various games here at the facility. We can’t wait to see you! 🎃
