In honor of National Nutrition Month, we at Syracuse Podiatry are writing about the foods that cause us foot pain, specifically when it comes to inflammatory diseases like arthritis and tendonitis. While we usually blame our shoes or our workout routines for foot pain, what you eat can either act as a natural medicine or as fuel for the fire of these foot conditions. https://tinyurl.com/3e24t44v

"Putting one foot in front of the other" gets a bad rap.
We use this phrase to discuss chores we wish to avoid or motions we don't want to go through, but here's the thing: going through motions that don't excite you is MUCH better than AVOIDING motion due to pain. And that's the kind of problem we see daily.

So here's to "putting one foot in front of the other" ! It's still the best way to get where you're going, and we're always here to help you move forward: https://tinyurl.com/224ch2yr

We strengthen our arms and legs… but what about our feet?
Simple exercises like towel scrunches, calf raises, and balance work can improve foot stability and reduce injury risk.

As a parent, it’s always a bit concerning when your active child suddenly starts limping or complaining that their heel hurts, especially when there isn’t a clear trip and fall moment. The good news? Children’s feet are resilient, and most heel pain is tied to the way they grow. Here is a breakdown of what might be causing that ouch in your child’s heel, courtesy of us at Syracuse Podiatry. https://tinyurl.com/2uw67nk9

You don’t have to compete in the Olympics to put elite-level stress on your feet.
Olympic athletes train for years to protect their bodies, and especially their feet and ankles. But even weekend walkers and gym-goers put thousands of pounds of pressure on their feet every day.
Whether you’re training for gold or just training for better health, proper support, injury prevention, and early treatment matter.
Your feet deserve professional care, at any level! Let us help with any foot-related concerns you’re experiencing: https://syracusepodiatry.org/

When the temperatures in Syracuse freeze over, so can your toes. You see, your toes are in a vulnerable position in relation to your body, which makes frostbite a sneaky injury. But we at Syracuse Podiatry have seen that frostbite doesn’t always start with sharp pain or a dramatic event. In fact, it often sets in while you think you are doing everything right.
