CAKE BATTER PROTEIN BITES! Full of healthy fats, protein, and low in sugar they’re an irresistible and nutritious dessert or post workout snack! Save this post and make a batch at the beginning of the week to pop in your mouth on busy days! 🍰

I used almond butter but cashew butter works great too. You can omit the collagen if that’s not your thing but I highly suggest adding collagen for the extra boost of protein and digestive support!

CAKE BATTER BITES
1/2 c almond butter
1/3 c melted coconut butter
1/2c almond flour
3 Tbs honey
2 scoops collagen powder
2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp almond extract
1/2 c Rainbow sprinkles
Instructions:
Mix all the ingredients in a bowl until combined into a thick dough. You may need to add more almond flour if your almond butter is more oily. Once combined roll 2 Tbs of the dough into balls and roll in the sprinkles. Store in the refrigerator for up to 7 days.

CRANBERRY ORANGE MUFFINS! What’s your favorite holiday flavor combination? I can’t decide if mine is cranberry and orange or peppermint and chocolate! Or maybe they can’t compete! Thanksgiving week is here!! 🦃 🥧 🍠🍗 Are you a sweet potato casserole fan? I’d never tried sweet potato casserole until last year but this recipe for paleo, vegan and AIP sweet potato casserole converted me! (And everyone who tried it!) Decadent without being too sweet, this sweet potato casserole with gooey, toasty marshmallows is creamy and absolutely delicious!

Grain free PUMPKIN BARS with Vegan cream cheese frosting! Are pumpkin recipes still cool or have we switched to Christmas baked goods now?? Either way I’ll still be enjoying these pumpkin bars for another month and if you bake one more pumpkin bread this season you’ll want to make it these! Filed under things that bring me joy. The sunshine and rolling hills of California. ☀️⛰

🌿Confession: hours before this picture was taken I wanted to cut my trip to California short because I was in a major funk. I was focused on negativity instead of the gift it was to be spending time in one of my favorite places, with some of my favorite people. But I remembered I had choose to be joyful in the midst of it all.

🌿Joy and happiness start with your mindset. Learning to shift your mindset to focus on the positive instead of the negative thoughts is so powerful for our physical and mental health. You can decide how you will react to a negative situation, how you want to feel, and choose to find the joy. It’s so freeing once you realize that you can change a situation by changing your thoughts.

🌿No, it’s not easy. And it takes practice. Lot’s of practice. And surrendering the negative thoughts. But choosing not to dwell on the negative and find the positive in any situation is key.

🌿So if you’ve also been in a funk lately, I encourage you to write down all your negative thoughts about the situation, and then for each negative thought write a positive one. You just might find more positive thoughts then you think you can 😉

🌿Getting back into routine 🌿

🌿Anyone else feel like you need to “get back on track” after letting go of routine and healthy habits for a little too long? I know I do. After a month of travel and being sick I’m trying to get back into routine. And it’s hard, I’ve pushed the snooze button and had snacks for dinner a few too many times recently 😅 But that’s just part of LIVING life! There will always be times when you can’t prioritize healthy habits.

🌿So how to start getting back into routine?

🌿Ditch the guilt.
Be kind to yourself if you’ve fallen out of routine, and let go of the all or nothing mindset. Learn to accept without feeling guilty that there are times when you’ll need to prioritize other things in life (yes, even sleep!) and that’s okay. You didn’t fail, you were living life!

🌿Know WHY you want it
Knowing your intention behind your actions is everything and will help you get there faster. Ask yourself why you’re choosing these healthy habits? How will it make you feel? Will it improve your life? Write down your why and place it somewhere you’ll see it everyday.

🌿Focus on 1-2 habits at a time.
Trying to jump back into your entire routine all at once can feel overwhelming and lead to burn out. Start small and choose 1-2 things to implement the first week and build from there. Doing a 10 minute workout is better then nothing. Eat a healthier lunch, drink more water, etc. You’ll probably start feeling more motivated after just a couple of days!

🌿Habit stack
Build new habits on top of current ones. When you stack a new habit on top of a habit you do every single day, like brushing your teeth or drinking coffee, you’re more likely to stick with it. So if you’re trying to drink more water you would say...”Right after I brush my teeth in the morning I will drink 12 oz of water” Sounds easy right?
