Rainbow Omega Rainbow Omega is a faith-based non-profit organization providing vocational and residential programs

Rainbow Omega is located in the rural community of Eastaboga, Alabama. Rainbow Omega has seven residential homes, two intermediate Care facilities for the Developmentally Disabled, nine greenhouses, a vocational center, apartments (for staff), a respite cottage and just recently opened a garden center.

Dr. Vance and Laura Moore were a major force in making the dream of Rainbow Omega a reality. They have served not only as parents, but Dr. Moore has also been the medical advisor and Medical Director for all residents for more than 30 years. During that same time, Dr. Moore has served as a Board Member and was named Chairman of the Board in 2021. They demonstrate their love for Rainbow Omega through their prayers, support and encouragement to all residents, families and staff. Dr. Moore and Laura continue to be a shining example to everyone of selfless love and kindness. When you visit Rainbow Omega Community Center you will find the Dr. Vance & Laura Moore Conference Room named in their honor as part of Rainbow Omega’s 30th Anniversary celebration in 1995.

Since the doors opened to the first two houses more than three decades ago, it has been through the generosity of others that more houses have been built, greenhouses built, vocational opportunities expanded and life at Rainbow Omega enhanced.

✨ Congratulations to Wanda Carroll Rainbow Omega’s 2025 Employee of the Year ✨
Wanda is the LPN for Residential, Day Habilitation and Vocational Programs. She is respectful to residents, peers, visitors and the community. Her patience and love always shines through. Whether it be a simple hello, explaining something to someone, or taking care of someone; everyone that meets her is better for it. Wanda's performance, service, and teamwork are outstanding! There is no doubt Wanda will get the job done. She makes tasks seem effortless and is always willing to take on extra projects/tasks. Her attention to detail assures that nothing is overlooked. Her positive attitude, big heart, and gentle spirit do not go unnoticed. Not only are we blessed just to know her, we are also all blessed to have her as a member of our Rainbow Omega family!

✨ Congratulations to Shinquetta Tuck Rainbow Omega’s Employee of the Month for December! ✨ Everyone knows her as "Squeak,” and she has been part of the Rainbow Omega family since 2006. Squeak is a House Manager and continues to make a huge impact on the lives of the individuals served here. Each day she brings a beautiful smile and caring heart to all that she serves as well as those she works alongside.

Our Story

A quaint little rural community in Eastaboga, Alabama. Rainbow Omega has Seven residential homes, two intermediate Care facilities for the Developmentally Disabled, nine greenhouse, vocational center, apartments (for staff), respite cotages and still growing! We provide a sheltered residential/work environment for 82 adults with developmental disabilities and work for "daytimers" from the area.
