Stavros Center for Independent Living presented at our last Commission meeting. Check out their website for more information about the services they provide, including their Wheelchair Operations Program which provides loaner wheelchairs and simple repairs at home. If you don’t qualify for their program they will connect you with a Durable Medical Equipment Provider to repair your chair. https://www.stavros.org/

The Easthampton Commission on Disability invites community members to attend our next meeting on Thursday, January 8, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

The Commission works to identify barriers, advise city leadership, and advocate for accessibility and inclusion for people with disabilities in Easthampton. Public participation is encouraged.

Election season is just around the corner, with municipal voting held on Tuesday, November 4. Under state and federal law, all voting options (including mail-in voting, if available) must be accessible to people with disabilities.

Good news for climbers! In partnership with Central Rock Hadley, CHD All In now offers an adaptive climbing seat to be included in their twice a month adaptive climbing program at Central Rock Hadley. This seat allows even more people to climb, especially those that may not be able to lift themselves up on a wall.
