January is National Hot Tea Month. The Tea Council of the USA was founded in 1950 and recognizes January as National Hot Tea Month.

Green and white tea is good for oral health. Because green and white tea controls bacteria and lowers the acidity of saliva and dental plaque, it may be useful in preventing cavities. Tea also has a lot of antioxidants, which help fight bacteria and reduces inflammation in your gums.

Did you know if you are right-handed you most likely will tend to chew your food on the right side of your mouth? The same goes for if you are left-handed you will chew on the left side of your mouth.

Chewing only from one side can actually have damaging effects on your teeth and jaw joints. Chewing on one side may cause your teeth to wear down and can lead to tooth sensitivity. Always try to chew on both sides of your mouth.

Keeping your teeth healthy is important during the Flu and Cold season. When you're sick it is important to keep your mouth from getting dry. When you have dry mouth you have a greater risk of getting cavities.

Medications you take when you have the flu or a cold can cause your mouth to dry out such as antihistamines, decongestants or pain relievers. Make sure you drink plenty of fluids like water and suck on sugarless cough drops or throat lozenges to keep your saliva flowing.

Deep Cleaning is a different procedure than regular cleaning. This procedure will go deep into the gum line and clean hard to reach spots at the base line of the tooth, cleaning the roots and pockets of the tooth.
