On this Veterans Day, we proudly recognize and honor our very own Spc. E4, William “Bill” A. Monreal.

At 23, Bill was drafted by the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam as a Radio Telegraph Operator as part of Charlie Company, 2nd/28th, of the Black Lions, 1st Infantry Division. During the TET Offensive of 1968, Bill carried radio equipment through the jungle terrain for the platoon lieutenant.

Back at home, Bill brought his spirit of service to Monreal Funeral Home, a long-running family business founded by his great-grandfather in 1892. For years, Bill has offered support and compassion to families in their moments of need, continuing a proud tradition of service to the community.

More recently, Bill fought another tough battle—cancer—and this summer, he rang the bell to celebrate his victory.

We would like to express our gratitude to Bill and to all veterans for their dedication and sacrifice.

On this Veterans Day, we pay tribute to all who have served and continue to serve, recognizing the bravery and dedicatio...
