Public Service Recognition Week honors the contributions of public service personnel across our nation in federal, state, county, local, and tribal governments. More than 23 million dedicated public service employees deliver every day for the American public and perform vitally important work that affects all Americans every day in critical ways.

The City of Eastman applauds the great work all public service employees perform for our community. We especially recognize and appreciate our own team of dedicated personnel, who fuel and maintain our community every day. Public servants are critical to protecting the safety and security of our residents, working every day, often at great personal risk, to prevent harm, respond to crises, and safeguard the lives and well-being of the communities they serve.

When you see a public servant working in the community this week, please say “thank you” to them. This simple gesture goes a long way.
