Chesapeake Voyagers, Inc.(CVI) is a Peer run organization that provides peer support to residents of the five Mid-Shore county dealing with mental health and/or addiction issues.

The End of Summer Splash today was so much fun! Thank you to everyone who came to support Chesapeake Voyagers by donating to our dunk tank! In case you missed it, here’s a recap of the day’s events:

Today the Chesapeake Voyagers crew boarded the Patriot in St. Michaels for a guided tour through parts of the Chesapeake Bay. ⛴️ The sun was shining and the breeze was refreshing! ☀️ There was no shortage of fun or smiles with a top deck dance party, a tour of the captain’s station and even a few Titanic inspired moments! 🤭 We learned facts about the surrounding views and even caught a “Man Overboard” demonstration. 🛟 What a grand way to celebrate our connections with each other and enjoy the blessings of a beautiful day! ⚓️😊

Wow! What a week! Monday we Samantha Vacek from Shore United bank joined us with a lunch n learn presentation on Financial Scams. Tuesday Theresa Neal had us kicking up our heals with line dancing lessons. Wednesday the peers created magazine collaged inspirational quotes for Creative Living. Ripley wrapped up the week with spooky campfire stories and s’mores on Friday. Kajaun Parker also delighted us with his music stylings during Coffee, goodies and conversations on Friday afternoon! See his original song of recovery in a following post. **Reminder there will not be breakfast tomorrow on 8/23, however you can join Jackie & Ripley at an outreach event at Galloway Meadows Apartments. Have a great weekend everyone!
