Our community was thrilled to be serenaded by crooner, Massimo Brutto! We broke out in dancing and had a great time with our newest entertainer! The residents were especially thrilled to have another person speaking, and singing, in Italian!

We are looking forward to many more afternoons together!

We introduced tabletop boxing to Abington this week! It was immense fun, and an effective workout to turn up our playlist and let loose together!

Congratulations to Mary, “The Fighting Irish”, who won her first major award this week as our tabletop boxing champion! We can’t wait to do it all again!

☀️❄️ Catching Sunshine on a Winter Saturday! ❄️☀️

This past Saturday, when the winter sun decided to make a special appearance, we didn’t waste a single minute of it! 🌤️💛

Our Memory Care residents stepped outside to soak in a little sunshine and fresh air — and our amazing Joy made it happen! 🙌✨ She saw that beautiful sun peeking through and took the opportunity to bring everyone out for a little vitamin D boost.

There’s something so special about feeling the warmth of the sun during a chilly winter day. Smiles were shining just as bright as the sunshine! 🌞😊

💒 ❤️ ✨ She’s going to the chapel, and she’s going to get maaaaaarrrrrieddd ✨ ❤️ 💒

Our Life Stages Associate, Ciara, said yes! And our community had so much to say as we wished her all the best on this journey! Our activity department celebrated with presents while our residents shared the greatest gift— their wisdom on becoming a wife! We recorded their feedback in a keepsake notebook for Ciara to review as needed, but we can all enjoy some of the highlights too—

“Learn how to cook, and cook what he likes to eat!”

“Don’t go to bed angry, and always go to bed together.”

“Always compromise, and be respectful. Be kind to each other.”

“Say ‘I love you’, even if you don’t mean it, in that moment.”

“Stay single! No, no, no… Hmmm… don’t go to bed angry, that’s what people say.”

Taste of Togetherness at Abington Manor 🍽️

Another wonderful family dinner is in the books, and our hearts are full. Thank you to all of our amazing families who joined us last night. Our families, residents and staff coming together for events like this truly make our community feel like home.

A very special thank you to our incredible staff who worked so hard behind the scenes to make the evening possible. We appreciate you more than words can say.

We can’t wait to share another evening with everyone next month! ❤️
