Wilbur Rodriguez Jr., a 20-year childhood leukemia survivor, led the inspiring inpatient walk at LVH–Cedar Crest, reminding patients they are warriors in their fight against blood cancer.

Suresh Nair, MD, Physician in Chief at Lehigh Valley Topper Cancer Institute, joined the walk, sharing how LVHN treats over 400 blood cancer patients each year and now offers advanced therapies like stem cell transplants and CAR-T immunotherapy.

Together with Blood Cancer United, our caregivers, patients and supporters lit up the 5KS unit with red and white lanterns, symbols of hope, strength and unity.

Monica Lancellotti, MD, a pediatrician at Lehigh Valley Health Network, grew up watching the joy her father, also a pediatrician, brought to his patients. That early inspiration led her to Jefferson Medical College, now known as Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University, where mentors, professors and hands-on training shaped her into the physician she is today.
