Look who came down to visit us last Friday! We can’t adequately tell you how much we miss Christine in the office everyday with us. She and her family are doing absolutely wonderful in New York, but she’ll always have a home down here!

Dr. Pelosi and I want to wish all of you a very happy, safe and healthy new year! Tomorrow is quite special for me as it will mark twenty years(!) since the existence of the optical company I founded- Palmer Optical, LLC. We spent the first four and a half plus years in a tiny office I refer to as "The Closet", and it's still unbelievable to me how we've grown! All of this is all thanks to two things: 1.) My awesome business and life partner, Dr. Pelosi, who has been a support every step of the way. Her practice and our sister business, Palmer Eye Associates, LLC, which she founded, will also turn twenty in December this coming year! And 2.) You, our valuable patients, for continuing to trust us with your eye care needs! We continue to be humbled and thankful for all of your support over these years!

We will be taking our customary first week of the year off this coming week, reopening by appointment only on Monday Jan. 9. You may still schedule appointments, order contacts, glasses and more at our website www.palmeroptical.com 24/7/365. As always, if you require immediate medical attention during our absence, please dial 911 or visit your local hospital's emergency room.

Please celebrate the coming of the new year responsibly- wear protective eyewear if you're popping corks and point them away from other people! And in closing, here's a pic of our Crizal. Happy New Year!!!!

We would like to wish all of you a Happy Thanksgiving! Our offices will be closed for the rest of this week and reopen on Monday 11/29 for scheduled appointments only. During our absence you can still schedule appointments for all services, order eyewear and more at our website www.palmeroptical.com 24/7. In the meantime we will be spending much of the time off resting up for the busy end-of-year schedule. Nico had decided to show us just how relaxation works when done properly…

Greetings all! It's mind-boggling that we are already in the final few days of October already! As is customary for us this time of year, our offices will be closed thru Wed. 11/3 as we take a much-needed staycation. Our offices will reopen by appointment only on Thu. 11/4. In the meantime, Doc can get caught up on her "Schitt's Creek" episodes, Dean can get recharged after spending the first 36 hours or so of vacation in deep sleep...and by then Frankie may have an idea on when he lost control of his couch to Lucas...Be safe everyone! Hope everyone is enjoying the spring weather!! We will be sending a newsletter within the next few days so please keep an eye on your email!

As we're sure most of you know by now, the CDC has updated their guidance for mask wearing as it applies to fully-vaccinated people. We are reviewing the guidance with each other as well as fellow colleagues in our area. We will carefully consider all areas of concern before making a decision on any changes, if any, to our office's mask policy. We've been just as eager to get back to a bit of normalcy as we once knew it as you have, but we want to make sure whatever decision we make is the best for everyone. We're hoping to have any changes included in our newsletter. Our current mask policy will remain in effect until we review the new guidance. In the meantime, stay safe and see you soon!

The year is just a mere hours from being over and all we can say is Thank God...I don't need to say anything more about how strange, trying, weird this year has been that hasn't already been said. We even ended our work year a couple days earlier than anticipated because 2020 wanted one last laugh. Yet in spite of the circumstances, we still managed to have a wonderful year seeing (no pun intended) all of our awesome patients through these strange times and look (again, no pun intended) forward to seeing all of you again in 2021!
As is customary for us, we will be out of the office through the first full week of January, returning on 1/11. We won't be in the office but we won't be closed- our website has links to our webstores that are open 24/7 and our online scheduler is also up 24/7! If you should require immediate medical attention during our absence, please dial 911 or contact your local hospital's emergency room- during these times it's best to call first before showing up.
Doc and I usually put up a pic of one of our furbabies when we post but I couldn't think of a picture more appropriate to post than one I just took of a candle we are burning here at home tonight- ALL. NIGHT. LONG. Happy New Year and PLEASE stay healthy and safe!!! See you in '21!

Good Monday morning to all!!! Our server host has worked through Friday and the weekend and is still securing our server connection. The bad news is our online scheduler and access to the schedule are still down. The good news is it should be up and running before day's end. Everything else on our website is working as the site is run on a different server. We apologize for any inconvenience and look forward to having everything operate the way it should very shortly!

Our online scheduling site is currently down. Our server host informs us that this outage will more than likely last through tomorrow morning. We will post the moment the scheduler is back online. All other website services are still working as normal!

Wishing all of our patients a Happy Thanksgiving today! A very tough year for all but still thankful for what we all still have. Enjoy today as much as you can and please take heed to all precautions in relation to coronavirus whether you are celebrating the holiday with immediate family or extended family. We will be back in the office Monday, but our website and webstore is open 24/7 at our website www.palmeroptical.com. In the meantime, I'll probably look like Lucas here after I indulge in some turkey very shortly...
