You may not like to hear this, but - Iced tea, coffee, and wine are bladder irritants. They will worsen urinary leakage and urgency.
Yes, they’re tasty! But if you’re struggling or concerned with urinary frequency and urgency, these are not helpful and can worsen these issues!

No, no, no!
Let’s set the record straight! There are many common misconceptions about Myofascial Release Therapy (MFR), here are the top ones we hear:
It hurts - MFR uses gentle prolonged holds on the soft tissue to invite release. This is done intentionally and with gentle pressure and traction on the skin. We are never looking to cause pain or go beyond what someone can handle. We always prioritize what feels good for the client. Now, if you’re particularly tender from an injury or trauma to the area, any kind of touch or treatment may cause go sensation but we never want to deepen that pain or injury, we want to give you relief. After treatment, you may experience soreness in the area, but that would be akin to what you may feel after a workout.
It’s passive - while MFR may be a gentle and effective approach, don’t let it fool you! We are going right for those adhesions and trigger points! We don’t need to go hard and apply hard pressure to dig in, we just next intentional touch and patience.
It’s a form of massage - our setting is calming like that of a massage but MFR is very different. We do not use lubrication, our patients remained clothed, and we treat the targeted areas and may ask you to position yourself in ways to assist release.
It’s something you can do yourself with a foam roller - foam rollers are great! But they do NOT compare to a skilled MFR therapist that knows where to go and what to do to get you the relief you need!
