As many of you know, The Cozy Corner Counseling and Six Ten Counseling () came together this Mother’s Day to give back to mothers in our community. As mothers themselves, Tiffany and Angela know how deeply beautiful motherhood can be, while also recognizing the challenges, changes, and sacrifices that often come with it.

When you add in the stress of housing instability, financial hardship, employment struggles, and navigating basic needs, survival can begin to take priority over simply being able to fully breathe, rest, and be present.

This year, our Mother’s Day donation drive was dedicated to the women and families at Third Street Alliance (). To the mothers working every day to create safety, stability, and a better future for their children. To the women breaking cycles, rebuilding, persevering, and continuing to show up for themselves and their families even through unimaginable challenges.

We are incredibly grateful to Third Street Alliance for the work they do to support women and children in our community with compassion, dignity, and care.
And to our community, clients, therapists, friends, and local businesses who donated and supported this drive - thank you. Because of you we were able to make THIRTY beautiful gift baskets, a whole bucket of hygiene products and some additional items to donate.

Your kindness, generosity, and willingness to come together helped make this Mother’s Day feel a little softer, a little brighter, and a reminder that no one has to carry things alone.

Community care matters. Connection matters. Showing up for one another matters.

Happy Mother’s Day 🩷

An opportunity for connection, community and overall bringing fun to the things that matter. Thank you / for inviting us to Fit & Fun for Everyone 🤍

Our interactive activity included a bouquet bookmark; a bookmark where you build your own bouquet. A memory and a keepsake that we can do hard things and we all deserve our flowers. 💐

Thank you to Jeremy and Courtney for the hard work you do with your clients and the care you bring to the practice. As someone wise once wrote, “Every small victory counts.” 🤍

You look like you have it together. You show up. You get things done. You take care of everyone else. You keep pushing forward.

From the outside it looks like strength but inside it can feel like constant pressure. High functioning anxiety and stress often hide behind productivity. People who experience this are often the ones others rely on. The dependable one. The helper. The person who keeps things moving. But the nervous system is still working overtime.

Your brain stays in a constant state of scanning and problem solving. You overthink conversations. You replay decisions. You stay busy because slowing down can make the thoughts louder.

So instead of collapsing, many people cope by doing more.
More working. More planning. More saying yes. More carrying. It can look like success while quietly draining your energy.

Over time this kind of constant activation can lead to emotional exhaustion, irritability, difficulty relaxing, and feeling disconnected from yourself. You do not have to completely fall apart for your stress to matter.

You do not have to hit burnout before you deserve support.
Sometimes the strongest thing you can do is pause long enough to ask yourself a simple question:

How am I actually doing?

If you are the one who is always holding everything together, you deserve spaces where you do not have to.
You deserve support before the crash. 🤍

“We cannot succeed when half of us are held back.” — Malala Yousafzai

Happy Women’s History & Empowerment Month! Mental health access, emotional safety, and equal opportunity matter. This month, we recognize the women who paved the way and we continue advocating for spaces where women can grow, lead, and heal freely.

By the time many couples reach out, they’re exhausted. Not because love is gone. But because the same conflict keeps replaying and nothing seems to shift.

In therapy, we often discover that the issue isn’t one partner being “too much” or the other being “not enough.” It’s the cycle they get pulled into when emotions run high.

When we slow the pattern down, something important happens. Blame softens. Understanding grows. And change becomes possible.

Tired doesn’t mean too late.
