St. Luke’s has received the 2025 Richard L. Doyle Award for Innovation and Leadership in Healthcare! 🏆

The award honors our High Utilizer Care Program (HUCP), which helps patients who often rely on emergency or hospital care get the ongoing support they need to feel better. The program helps care teams work together across the health system and create shared care plans that follow patients wherever they receive services.

By improving communication and connecting patients to the right care and resources, HUCP has helped reduce unnecessary hospital visits, increase use of outpatient services, and lower overall costs — showing that coordinated, compassionate care really can make a difference for patients and communities.

🍽️ St. Luke’s Helps Seniors Stay Healthy, Connected, and Seen

Every weekday, older adults across our communities gather at 10 St. Luke’s campuses to enjoy a fresh, nutritious meal for just $3.99 — and the real highlight isn’t just the food. It’s the friendship, routine and connection that keep them coming back.

From laughter-filled tables to familiar faces saving seats for friends, the program is creating meaningful moments that support both physical and emotional well being.

Serving more than 60–100 meals each night at many campuses, this initiative reflects St. Luke’s ongoing commitment to helping older adults stay healthy, independent and connected.

We are to recognize Jesus de Leon Mora, RN, from St. Luke’s Easton Campus as the newest DAISY Award winner.

Jesus was nominated by a grateful patient's family member who shared:

"I want to take a moment to recognize Jesus, for the outstanding care he provided to my 2-year-old daughter, Virginia and me over the weekend. We were in the ER — a stressful and emotional experience — but Jesus went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and well-being every step of the way. He checked in on my daughter multiple times, always with kindness and compassion, and even gave her a stuffed animal to help ease her fear and anxiety. He didn’t stop at caring for her. He also made sure I was supported too. Jesus exemplifies the heart of nursing and the spirit of St. Luke’s. His compassion, attentiveness, and professionalism turned a difficult day into one where we felt truly cared for. It’s because of nurses like Jesus that I am proud to be a St. Luke’s employee. Thank you, Jesus, for making such a meaningful difference.”

The DAISY Award is an international recognition program that honors the skillful, compassionate care that nurses provide every day. St. Luke’s is proud to be a DAISY Award hospital partner, recognizing one of our nurses with this special honor each month.

Congratulations, Jesus!
