According to CDC about one in four seniors (more than 14 million people) fall each year when left home alone. Find ways to reduce falls by removing rugs and clearing halls. You can also send them to a facility, such as an adult daycare, where caring staff members pay close attention and are concerned about the well-being of your loved ones.

It is said when left alone, a dependent adult may experience limited access to stimulating activities, such as games, crafts, or physical exercise, which can lead to cognitive decline and feelings of boredom. It has been a fun-filled week as we come to the end of the first week of open enrollment. Spirit week was based on the 70s. We ended the week with the 70s sitcom. We had Myrtle from Steve Urkel show, we had Jenny from the Jeffersons, we had Esther from Fred Sanford, we had Florida and JJ from Good Times. There is still time to enroll. Come on in and bring a friend. Our fabulous staff is dedicated to care and to bring a 😃.

It also causes idleness which breeds filling of anger and restlessness and disrupt the ability to converse freely. Lesson the challenges of being over talk and minimize attention, seeking behaviors by providing the opportunity to socialize. Allow your loved one to join a social group or an adult daycare.

Older adults experiencing mobility loss are less likely to remain at home.
