Our Trick or Treat event with the Girl Scouts was such a blast! The residents went all out with their costumes and loved handing out candy to so many happy kids. We ended the night with donuts and cider — the perfect cozy treat after all that excitement! Such a wonderful experience all around. Already can’t wait for next year!

What a beautiful day we had at our petting zoo! Our residents were all smiles — some even had tears of joy seeing and cuddling the animals.

We loved spending the afternoon with ducks, chickens, bunnies, pigs, goats, dogs, and our favorite returning pony, Feather!

A big thank-you to the Springport FFA, Sue Brook, and all our amazing staff and families who shared their pets and helped make this such a special day. You filled our hearts with happiness!

🎉🐾 Last week, Island City Assisted Living had the joy of celebrating the 101st birthday of our dear Mr. Fred G! 🐾🎉

We couldn’t resist choosing the fun (and perfectly accurate) theme of 101 Dalmatians. With many dressed in black and white, we honored over a century of his wisdom and joy.

Fred is one of the kindest and most gracious gentlemen you’ll ever meet. He’s always quick with a smile and even quicker with gratitude, making every day brighter for all of us at Island City. 💙

Happy 101st birthday, Fred! 🥳 That’s a lot of candles… good thing we didn’t invite all 101 Dalmatians to help blow them out!" 🐶✨

🌺✨ Last week we celebrated National Assisted Living Week here at Island City! ✨🌺

Although it’s usually held in September, we just couldn’t wait to kick off the fun this year. The theme, Ageless Adventure, came to life through:
🌴 A festive Hawaiian Day
🧳 A playful Tacky Tourist Day
📸 A trip to the Holy Land through pictures
🎪 Lively Carnival games..and so much more!

At Island City, we love to party — but more than that, we love the unwavering spirit of adventure our residents show us every single day. 💖🌟

What an amazing day at our ICAL Family Picnic & Car Show!

A huge thank you to all our friends and families who came out to support Island City and enjoy an afternoon filled with food, fun, games, and great company. We loved seeing everyone connect and celebrate together!

Special thanks to the Eaton Rapids Cruise-in Group and everyone who brought their beautiful vintage classics—what a show! And a sweet shoutout to PowerBack Rehabilitation and Elara Caring for treating us to cookies and ice cream—the perfect way to top off a summer afternoon! We can't forget all of the Eaton Rapids NHS students who volunteered their time and were an awesome help!

We’re grateful for the community that makes Island City feel like home. 💙

ICAL's first BBQ of the season. The weather was great, nearly every resident came to join us, our new chef knocked it out of the park, and our amazing staff was all smiles. Here's to a great summer ahead!
