Great Meadow Enrichment Center

Great Meadow Enrichment Center Offering individual, family, & group counseling, play therapy with children from 4 to 11, business & I also am now a Clinical Certified Trauma Professional.

Credentials: I am a Limited License Psychologist, Certified School Psychologist and Applied Behavior Analyst, with prior certifications in Rational Hypnotherapy and Offender Treatment. I have a Bachelor's in Marketing with a background in Consumer Services. With my interest in behavior and learning I later obtained an M.Ed. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Louisville in Kentucky whe

re I was born and raised. I have completed 150+ hours of play therapy training, which has included art therapy and sand tray work, and I am active in the MI Association of Play Therapy. I have been conducting psychological and psycho-educational assessments for the last 22 years and have worked with many different clients, including children as young as four, juvenile and adult offenders, couples, and families. I have counseled in both faith-based and secular settings regarding a fairly wide range of issues. I prefer to work from the client's strengths to overcome challenges using primarily a cognitive-behavioral model, with strategies drawn from ABA to promote change. Although talking is the quickest way to share information, I enjoy using a wide range of media to communicate thoughts, beliefs, and feelings. I enjoy being a full-time school psychologist in Eaton County and have chosen to continue my part-time private practice in Eaton Rapids as another way to serve this community. I have enjoyed getting to know a wide variety of folks from many different walks of life and I feel privileged that I have been allowed to accompany each of them on a small portion of their life journey.
