May is Mental Health Awareness Month ❤️
Part of my personal mental health journey has been learning to not gauge my life by anyone else's standards. I've learned that every morning, every MOMENT even, is an opportunity to learn, grow, share God's love and CHOOSE happiness. God's opinion is, ultimately, the only one that truly holds any weight for me anymore. That doesn't mean I am rude or disrespectful to others, but it DOES remind me daily that I am called to love others and I can only truly do that as my genuinely self.
Physical relaxation often leads to a client releasing some physiological walls...barricades designed by the body to "keep us safe" from our own emotions. Sadly, the creation and maintenance of these walls means we are no longer learning the skills needed to process these emotions in a healthy way.
I praying for all of you today that you have SOMEONE that you can vocalize these emotions to and you find the strength to do so.
Even if there is not another human available, God is ALWAYS available❤️
At the end of a massage session, a client will often seek reassurance that I won't share with anyone what we talk about and I can confidently reassure them that it "stays on the table" (unless there is a clear indication that they are in danger, of course). And my answer when they ask if I'll keep them in my prayers? "I already am". ❤️ God bless you all. Remember that our Father says we're worthy, and who are we to argue with Him? 😎
