Mel Robbins says the more control you give up, the more you gain.

I swear I have struggled with control my whole life. I remember my mom telling me that I woke up with a dry diaper before I was 1. Talk about control.

I would leave to spend the night at a friend's house, and when I returned, I knew if someone had been in my room.

I could save my Halloween candy from year to year and not eat it. Why go trick or treating if you are not going to eat it? Apparently, it was about control. I didn't necessarily want to eat it; however, I for sure didn't want anyone else to eat it.

Can you relate to wanting to be in control? I want everything I do to look a certain way, from the way I get up and do my morning routine to the way the dishwasher is loaded, and I can go on and on.

My life is structured and very specific, and if things don't go the way I think they should, the wheels fall off the bus. Can you relate? If you can, I presume you know what happens next. I either get mad or my anxiety goes through the roof.

These are words to live by as a controller for sure. Here is to letting it go. Control is an ugly monster that has been controlling me my whole life. Here's to letting it go and working the muscle to relax more!

I love my mother, and yet I still hate Mother's Day!

Every year, I get triggered and reminded everywhere, even at church, to honor our mother for the fact that she gave birth to me and has taken care of me for the first 18 years of my life, and continues to worry and care about me even today.

I have always known that I wanted to be a mother from a very young age. I am the one who takes care of everybody, including my clients, yet I sit here today with no child.

I have struggled with unexplained infertility for years. As a controller, this was the worst answer to be given by a doctor. NO ANSWERS, what do you mean, no answers?

I have had ugly conversations with God. I have wondered if there was a God.

It is so painful every time there is another baby announcement from a family member or friend. I get pi**ed when I see someone who doesn't deserve a child having one or another one. When I see a mother getting her child taken away because of drugs or alcohol. I am angry and feel like I am being punished.

People want to be helpful and tell you things like Have you thought about adoption. People, these comments are not helpful. It is much better to say nothing and hold space for the person who is struggling. Because believe me, every thought has run through my/our mind since the minute I/we have been told we have infertility.

I know that I am not the only one who hates Mother's Day. Some people have lost their mother, and this holiday is a trigger. There are people who are in a fight with their mother and not speaking, there are people who never knew their mother, there are people whose mother is struggling with a mental illness, and their mother doesn't know who they are. For them, I say I am sorry. I see you too!

Please be aware that this holiday is not joyful for everyone. If you know someone who is struggling with one of these things. You don't have to say anything except I am here if you need to talk. I will listen! I won't give feedback, and I won't give you unsolicited advice. I will just BE HERE FOR YOU!

Happy Mother's Day to the mothers who are lucky enough to have a child or loved one call them MOM!

Through the process of Equine Gestalt Coaching(EGC)®, a leading-edge training modality, horses help access and develop your inherent Emotional IQ.

Horses have served humanity since the dawn of civilization. They have served us in so many ways — as food, in war, as a means of travel, as companions. Horses know us. They understand us better than we understand ourselves.

When a horse looks into your heart, he only sees the truth. He sees that truth even if you’re hiding from it. And, he can bring that to your attention. But you need someone to guide you through this process and that is where Andrea comes into the picture.

Andrea has completed an intensive two year training program with extensive hands-on experience to understand how to translate the wisdom of the horse into a language you can understand — and use to change your life. The method she uses is known as the Equine Gestalt Coaching Method and it relies on the understanding that you contain all the answers within you and that a coach assisted by a horse can help you find those answers and bring them to the surface. Once they are out in the open, the co-coaching team of Andrea and her horses will help you experience the process of letting go of old behavior patterns and limiting beliefs while replacing them with new expansive concepts that will serve you as you move forward through your life.

The result of this type of coaching is quick acting and long lasting. It does not require you to ride the horse nor does it require any type of previous horse experience. It will work even if you’re scared or unsure around horses. It works with individuals, groups, families, teams and couples.
