APC’s Scott Brunner was featured in POLITICO’s Prescription Pulse and Politico Pro newsletters last week discussing customized versions of GLP-1 drugs, how it's gone since the FDA declared the shortages over, ‘competition’ with drugmakers, and the murky road that further regulation might find itself walking down.

👏 Kudos to FDA (yes, really).

FDA got it mostly right in its updated message on compounded GLP-1s — clearly warning against counterfeits and fraud, not legitimate compounding.

✅ They distinguish legal compounding from sketchy, research-grade knockoffs.
✅ They make it clear there’s no ban on compounding with GLP-1 ingredients.
✅ They remind patients to work with trusted, state-licensed pharmacies.

It’s not perfectIt’s not perfect, but it’s progress.
