Got an update from one of my Pulmonary Rehab patients today and want to shout the good news from the rooftops! GOD IS GOOD! This sweet man just received a double lungs transplant and underwent weeks of inpatient therapy. He, along with his precious wife by his side, went through the unimaginable and came out 💪 and ready to take on a new life! He is heading to his new home away from home to receive outpatient care for a bit before he comes back home to us! We can’t wait to have you back in clinic and see your smiling, inspiring face soon!

Happy Friday 🏈
It’s football season and FINALLY starting to feel like Fall 🍂 outside! Thank the Lord 🙌🏼

This week we have been doing our monthly evaluations for our program participants. I wanted to take the time to say how much this growing program means to me - seeing how far ALL our patients have come has been so incredible!

With that said, I have to give a BIG shoutout to this guy (with his permission of course)! Mr Homeier has gone through more than most could imagine (sickness, double lung transplant, ECMO, and so much more) but he continues to set new goals each month and work hard to meet those! Today is his 2 month anniversary in the program and he is walking WITHOUT a walker and even DRIVING HIMSELF to and from treatment now! He was able to walk stairs unassisted this week as well! Not only that but he has improved in all areas of his lung function and strength/endurance training!

This is what happens when you align a great program with motivated people that want to overcome and better themselves! So excited for him and all the others this month 💪 and blessed to have some of the BEST patients that I’ve come to love dearly!

Happy August ⛅️ This time of year can be a challenging month for people with lung conditions due to various factors like extreme heat, humidity, and allergens. Here's a summary of things to be mindful of:

1. Stay Hydrated — drink lots of water! For those susceptible to fluid retention, be mindful of your intake vs your output of fluids!

2. Be Active — moderate physical activity and cardio at least 3-5 days a week is key to strengthening those lungs and physical condition

3. EAT — but eat healthy 😝 Those lean proteins and veggies help to maintain proper nutritional values and increase energy!

4. Be mindful of allergens — it is ragweed season, amongst others triggers! Between the heat and allergens, you need to be mindful of wearing cool clothing, but also to remove that clothing after being outdoors! Don’t go lounge in the house or sleep in clothing you’ve worn outside all day!

Hello Everyone ❤️
First let me say I am so blessed and grateful for the outpouring response from our community! We knew the need was great for Pulmonary outpatient services, but the influx of patients and referrals validates this even more! Not to mention, the testimonies of the patients we are seeing is such a reassurance that our services are not only beneficial but life-changing in the best way! It is truly a testimant to our mission of helping improve our patients lives!

With that being said, we want to continue to provide the best care at the most accommodating times for our patients. To do so, we need good help 😜 We are now looking for additional staff to join myself in the clinic working directly as a licensed member of this fun, growing team!

My personal hope is to find someone who:
✅ loves this community and has a passion for helping improve patients lives in a personable way - where are my “people” people? 😝
✅ holds a medical license as a therapist, RN/LPN, or athletic trainer
✅ wants to work a full time, Mon-Fri, outpatient position with rewarding benefits and competitive pay (paid holidays & no weekends 🙌🏼)
