EDIT: Our administrator has been diligently looking into these multiple cases because it seemed to target our patients. What we found is ChronicCare IQ, a healthcare monitoring system used to optimize patient care and interaction, started using a Texas based group (this past week) to contact patients on our behalf to offer tools and durable medical supplies for those with chronic medical conditions. We are working with the agency to be more transparent on who they are, as we also were caught by surprise!

I apologize to any patients who received these calls without proper clarification. Our administrator has had 2 meetings in 2 days trying to make sure this is more streamline for our clients and patients!

We have received information about patient's of ours getting fake spam marketing targeting Medicare patients. The company is saying they are from Harlingen Texas, trying to get information from them for "blood pressure machines". THIS IS NOT FROM US. Scammers are savvy accessing medicare records and using information. DO NOT ACCEPT THESE CALLS. Medicare website recommends hanging up and reporting it immediately to 1-800-MEDICARE. The number on the caller ID is apparently 956.275.4879

In children and teens, changes in hygiene can be an early sign of underlying emotional distress.
In clinic, it's common for parents to bring in a child who isn’t showering, brushing their teeth, or changing clothes, and screening often reveals moderate to severe depression, even in kids who appear “fine” on the surface.
Because many young people can’t articulate that they’re overwhelmed, their struggles show up in daily routines such as avoiding showers, having unwashed hair, skipping tooth brushing, withdrawing socially, experiencing fatigue or irritability, and changes in sleep or appetite.
These behaviors are not laziness or defiance; they are signals that a child may need support, and a gentle check-in can open the door to meaningful help.
