Who am I?

What an odd question...right?

You see, I grew up in the wild mountains of Vermont and began life with a deep connection to the Earth, to family and to the entire community around me. From farmers to engineers, lumberjacks to business owners...I began to observe and breathe in life. That powerful connection to my community has never left me and so my mission statement was born.

Promoting joy, vitality and overall wellness one massage at a time.

Having an athletic beginning in life, I felt a monumental shift a few years ago that left me in constant pain. Inflammation, virtually losing the ability to walk (having to drag my legs behind me at the age of 35 was not fun) well, it shifted my entire focus in life. Through a series of months, then a year...then years, acupuncture, yoga and massage helped to recreate a completely pain free life in place of one that was becoming unbearable. Hope became my new language and massage was part of that discovery.

Many of my friends are mechanics (with forearms of steel), hair stylists, other care providers and therapists, triathletes and ultra-marathoners, as well as executives who live at their desks all day. One thing they all have in common?? The need for massage to help facilitate healing, to assist in stress management, and to increase performance when they need it the most. As a result, my approach to massage is not only purely technical, but a bit intuitive while I listen to each client express their own areas of concern. No one knows your body better than you.

With a background in the corporate world, at the executive level, I can empathize with the weight that is placed upon a person to perform. Whether in the board room, in the office, the salon...all the deadlines, the pressure, and on top of that we are all people living our lives outside those domains. Which brings me to the next most important part of my "about me" section: trust, safety and connection.

I strive to create a safe environment for all clients. Each client is treated with utmost professionalism and integrity. Having a very strong ethical compass ensures that you are being treated by someone that holds themselves (me) to a higher standard of care. Respecting your time is important, after all...time is the one thing we never get back.
