How many sessions of NeurOptimal neurofeedback will you need? Well... it depends!

Every person has a different brain and different goals, which can affect how many sessions it will take for you to reach your goals. However, for short term benefits we recommend at least 10-12 sessions, and about 20-30 sessions to achieve longer lasting benefits.

Did you know that your cortisol spikes during your first hour of being awake? This increase in cortisol can contribute to that dreaded feeling of morning anxiety. If you are one of the many people who struggle with morning anxiety, we hope these tips are helpful for you!

✨Get out of bed as soon as you wake up!
Procrastinating your wake-up may be tempting, but it will make you feel groggy and tired.

✨Expose yourself to daylight withing 15 minute of waking up
Studies have revealed that exposure to sunlight first thing in the morning can help improve your focus, mood, sleep throughout the day, and also re-calibrate your circadian rhythm to make waking up in the mornings easier in general!

✨Take 10-15 minutes a day to journal or meditate
Taking time for mindfulness-based activities is always a great idea, but this is especially true if you struggle with anxiety. These activities help center you and bring you to the present moment, and have been shown to improve feelings of anxiety.

✨Prepare what you can the night before to reduce decision fatigue
Take time the night before to set out anything you may need the next day. Whether this means picking out clothes, preparing snacks/lunches, or cleaning your space, find ways to reduce the number of decisions you have to make in the mornings.

✨Neurofeedback may also help you reduce symptoms of anxiety! While results vary from person to person, many of our clients have reported feeling less stressed and nervous with regular neurofeedback training.

✨Cortisol spikes in the mornings
Remind yourself that it is normal for your cortisol to be higher in the mornings. Just because you feel anxious in the morning, does not necessarily mean that you will feel anxious all day.

Through breaks in the music, the computer software that analyzes the brain's electrical frequencies will alert the brain that it has drifted outside of normal range!
