I had the privilege of speaking with WESH 2 anchor Jason Guy about imposter syndrome and how it shows up from interns to CEOs.

As a mental health expert, I shared how this common struggle affects everyone, no matter the title or stage in their career. If you’re navigating this, or know someone who is, I hope this conversation offers some insight and comfort. Take a moment to watch, and let me know how imposter syndrome has shown up for you.

WESH 2's Jason Guy is joined by Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Cherlette McCullough, to unpack the root causes of the common psychological phenomenon and ways to manage internal fear.

When your husband becomes Ice T’s right-hand man… at your mental health event!

It’s Mental Health Awareness Month, and as VP of the board for MHACF, today’s annual luncheon meant everything. Ice T was our keynote speaker and yes, the message was fire.
But the real moment? My husband showed up and served as Ice T’s official liaison. Watching him give 100% to something I’m so passionate about? Whew… unmatched.

Having your partner actively support your purpose hits different. Today was full circle. My heart? So full.

As a therapist, advocate, and woman of faith, I help people heal what they were taught to hide. I walk with women breaking generational curses, couples rebuilding trust, and families learning to love with truth.

Tonight, I don’t just accept this award, I accept the call to keep showing up, speaking out, and helping others rise, one conversation at a time.

Big News!

I am beyond honored to share that I have been selected as a Community Hero and will be receiving the Unsung Hero Award at the Annual "Shades of Green" Mental Health Excellence Awards Gala in Jacksonville, FL!

This recognition comes from Step-by-Step 4 Help Foundation, Inc., led by CEO Desiree Jones, and I am so grateful for this acknowledgment of the work I do in mental health and community service.

The heart of my work has always been about showing up for people, helping them heal, feel seen, and know they matter. To be recognized as an "Unsung Hero" reminds me that even when no one is clapping... purpose is still working.

The Shades of Green Gala will take place: ▶️ Sunday, May 18, 2025

Thanks WESH 2 News !!!!

This interview hit differently, it made me reflect on MawMaw. We lost her unexpectedly to COVID in 2020, and the emotions came rushing back. Still, I truly enjoyed this conversation. It reminded me of how important it is to feel our feelings while also embracing opportunities.

Even five years later, we’re still navigating the collective trauma of grief, isolation, and uncertainty. But we must also hold onto the lessons the pandemic taught us...like the importance of therapy access, self-care, workplace boundaries, and emotional wellness.
