You don’t have a hormone problem, you have a homeostasis problem!
Hormones are responders to a deeper root cause issue. They are influenced by our internal and external environment, gut microbiome, sleep, stress level, nutrition, and H2O consumption.
Our bodies are holistic beings and all of our organ systems interact together, they are not just operating in siloed voids. Our endocrine system (hormones) communicates with our immune system, digestive system, lymphatic and glymphatic system, cardiovascular system, limbic system, and of course our reproductive system.
What hormones do we hear about that could be out of balance?
- Cortisol
- Epinephrine (Adrenaline) and Norepinephrine (Noradrenaline)
- Estrogen
- Progesterone
- DHEA
- Testosterone
- Also - Aldosterone (involved in electrolyte, mineral, and fluid balance)
- Insulin (and glucagon) and leptin vs ghrelin levels - hunger cues and blood sugar regulation (which are directly tied into stress and s*x hormone production)
Reason for hormones to be out of balance:
- Food Sensitivities
- Blood sugar dysregulation
- Mold, Mycotoxins, Fungus, Yeast (Candida)
- Lyme + Co Infections
- Hustle Culture
- HIIT workouts/Over-Exercizing
- Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals
- Heavy Metals
- Parasites
- Drinking caffeine on an empty stomach
- Not consuming enough protein 20-30 grams each meal (breakfast, lunch, dinner)
- Not getting 25 grams of a variety of Fiber daily
What does hormone imbalance feel like?
-Brain fog
-Joint pain
-Irritability
-Hot flashes
-Night sweats
-Anxiety
-Confusion
-Cycle imbalances
-Menstruation pain
-Heavy bleeding
-Low libido
-Weight loss resistance
