You don’t need more supplements…
You might just need the right forms + better absorption 🔥

I had a client come into the office recently who is working on bone pain in her hips from osteoporosis/penia, and what her body needed most was more stomach acid support.

Let’s talk about the calcium trio your body actually depends on:

🦴 CALCIUM (structure)
Best food sources:
• Sardines (with bones 🐟)
• Canned salmon (with bones)
• Dark leafy greens (kale, collards, arugula)
• Sesame seeds + tahini
• Chia seeds
• Almonds

☀️ VITAMIN D3 (absorption)
Helps your body pull calcium in from the gut:
• Sunlight (your BEST source 🌞)
• Egg yolks
• Salmon + fatty fish
• Cod liver oil
• Mushrooms (small amounts, mostly D2)

👉 Pro tip: Aim for midday sun exposure (10–20 min, arms/legs exposed, no sunscreen initially if appropriate) for the most bioavailable vitamin D

🧬 VITAMIN K2 (direction)
Tells calcium where to go (bones/teeth) and where NOT to go:
• Natto (highest source)
• Grass-fed dairy (if tolerated)
• Egg yolks
• Liver
• Fermented foods

But here’s the part most people miss 👇

🔥 If you don’t have enough stomach acid (HCL)…
You won’t break down and absorb calcium well—no matter how “healthy” your diet is.

Signs you may need to support digestion:
• Bloating after meals
• Reflux or indigestion
• Feeling full quickly
• Nutrient deficiencies despite a good diet

💡 Belly Love reminder:
It’s not just about eating nutrient-dense foods—
It’s about creating a body that can actually use them.

✨ Support digestion
✨ Get sunlight
✨ Eat real, whole foods with built-in cofactors

That’s where the magic happens 💛

You don’t have a hormone problem, you have a homeostasis problem!

Hormones are responders to a deeper root cause issue. They are influenced by our internal and external environment, gut microbiome, sleep, stress level, nutrition, and H2O consumption.

Our bodies are holistic beings and all of our organ systems interact together, they are not just operating in siloed voids. Our endocrine system (hormones) communicates with our immune system, digestive system, lymphatic and glymphatic system, cardiovascular system, limbic system, and of course our reproductive system.

What hormones do we hear about that could be out of balance?
- Cortisol
- Epinephrine (Adrenaline) and Norepinephrine (Noradrenaline)
- Estrogen
- Progesterone
- DHEA
- Testosterone
- Also - Aldosterone (involved in electrolyte, mineral, and fluid balance)
- Insulin (and glucagon) and leptin vs ghrelin levels - hunger cues and blood sugar regulation (which are directly tied into stress and s*x hormone production)

Reason for hormones to be out of balance:
- Food Sensitivities
- Blood sugar dysregulation
- Mold, Mycotoxins, Fungus, Yeast (Candida)
- Lyme + Co Infections
- Hustle Culture
- HIIT workouts/Over-Exercizing
- Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals
- Heavy Metals
- Parasites
- Drinking caffeine on an empty stomach
- Not consuming enough protein 20-30 grams each meal (breakfast, lunch, dinner)
- Not getting 25 grams of a variety of Fiber daily

What does hormone imbalance feel like?
-Brain fog
-Joint pain
-Irritability
-Hot flashes
-Night sweats
-Anxiety
-Confusion
-Cycle imbalances
-Menstruation pain
-Heavy bleeding
-Low libido
-Weight loss resistance

Did you know GLP-1 is a hormone your body makes naturally? 🧬

GLP-1 is released in the gut after you eat. It helps regulate appetite, blood sugar, and how quickly food leaves the stomach.

Meals rich in protein and fiber tend to increase satiety hormones like GLP-1. Walking after meals helps the body handle glucose more efficiently. Regular exercise, good sleep, and limiting ultra-processed foods all support the metabolic pathways that regulate hunger and blood sugar.

These habits are part of the biological foundation that helps your metabolism work the way it was designed to. Which one will you try first?

Fiber is nuanced and different depending on where you are on your healing ❤️‍🩹 journey.

When many people see the word fiber, they automatically think “gluten,” “grains,” or “legumes.” But fiber is found across many whole-food categories.

There is a wide variety of plant fibers in vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds, roots, tubers, and even sea vegetables.

Expanding how we think about fiber helps broaden our food choices and encourages more diversity on the plate. Different types of fiber can contribute to digestive wellness and help support a healthy gut environment. Rather than viewing fiber through a narrow lens, we can look to the many naturally occurring sources throughout the plant kingdom and explore how they fit into our personal way of eating.

Because each of us eats differently, discovering fiber sources that match our own dietary pattern is important — and with the variety nature provides, there is always a way to personalize those choices.

It can also be helpful to work with your health care practitioner to determine which types of fiber align best with your body and your needs, since not all fibers work the same way for everyone.

Alright everyone… I’m going to share something very special to my heart 💛

This is something I created years ago when I first started studying nutrition — back when I was just trying to heal myself and understand my own body.

It became a foundational tool for me.

And over time? It has become a mainstay for my clients, too.

Whenever things feel overwhelming…

When health feels confusing…

When you don’t know where to start…

I come back to this.

It’s simple.
It’s sustainable.

And it builds habits that actually support your metabolism, hormones, gut, and energy long term.

If you want the full guide with recipes so you can start shifting habits in your own health journey, comment

I’ll send it your way.

Let’s build health in a way that feels grounded, nourishing, and doable. 🌿
