Muscle Monday! 💪

Do you ever experience lower back pain or have ever thrown out your low back ??

I sure have and do!!

The typical culprit - the Quadratus Lumborum or QL Muscle for short.

This muscle connects to your 12th rib, lumbar vertebrae, and onto the back crest of your pelvic bone and is a big cause of low back pain from either overuse, poor posture, or muscle imbalances.

(AND having a scoliotic lumbar curve of the spine can accentuate your low back pain within that QL muscle from the spine pulling/pushing/stretching it.)

Getting this muscle masssged or tennis ball rolled out usually might feel painfully GOOD. 😌

On average, massage therapists burn out, get hurt, or just retire within 5-7 years of starting their career. 😢

10.5 years in, and I'm just here packing on the muscle to better take care of you AND my own body so I can continue this for another 10 years! 💪

Muscle Monday!! 💪

3 of the biggest headache causing muscles that I find in people (including myself!) - Trapezius. Levator Scapulae. Occipitalis muscles.

These are usually tension headaches and can even cause headaches felt in behind/above the eyes as the occipitalis muscles if too tight; will pull on the frontalis (forehead) muscle.

- Massage, stretching, and tennis ball rolling are great ways to loosen these muscles up and relieve your headache!

Well! We went and got'er done today!! 💪🔥

#30 ‼️‼️‼️ 🥹

For the finale - Eau Claire Marathon's Ho - HEAU - Ho 5k !!

We had hills.. Wind.. Chilly weather.. Slush on the ground and little traction quite a bit.. but even so, I finished today in 28:57 ‼️

I am happy. I am proud. I am thankful!!

Proud, happy, and thankful that I did this 30 for 30! I set a goal, kept up, and stuck to it. 💪🔥 and it doesn't even feel like I ran 30 different races!! 😲

Happy and super f*cking thankful for my amazing hubby for taking care of the kids for MANY HOURS while I train and complete my races. I owe him big time!! 🥹😘🫶

Happy, proud, and thankful for my ladies that have endured these miles with me! They freaking rock!! 🥹💪🔥 It wouldn't have been as fun without them all!

It's been an amazingly run-tastic year for 2025!

This was all about a fun goal, a fun way to come into and start out being 30, and in hopes to inspire others. ❤️

And I hope I've done just that! I hope I've inspired some of you to get out there and just run!
If I can do, so can you! 💪❤️

Wonder Wednesday.

Ladies, have you ever wondered if or when you should shave your legs before a massage??? ESPECIALLY NOW THAT IT'S WINTER OUT.

Because I used to!

And honestly, it really doesn't matter hun!

The ONLY time it "matters" from a therapist's stand point, is when your leg hair is in the prickly/stabby stage - it then feels like carpet burn on the arms. 😵‍💫😬

So come on in smooth like a baby's butt or come in looking like Chewbacca!

There is absolutely no judgements coming from me either way! 🤗

Fun Fact Friday ❤️

My Dad is actually the start of the reason of why/how I got into massage and still keep going.

I'll never forget giving him back rubs after work in the kitchen at around 6/7 years old. 🥰

He may be gone physically from this Earth, but I have even more loving, and stronger giving hands with his hands wrapped over mine now. 🤲❤️💔
