We visited our friends across town at Dove Healthcare - West Eau Claire and Dove Healthcare - Orchard Hills Assisted Living to check out their Summer Jamboree! It was an absolute joy as we ate good food, played lots of games, and had lots of laughs. We had a great time! Thanks to our friends and colleagues for hosting us, we can't wait to come back next year!

“Ever since I first came here, everyone has been so nice and willing to help. The staff and I just love to joke around; they love them some Val and I love them back! Physical and occupational therapy has some of the best women I have ever worked with. They explain everything and help me to know what I need to be doing each day to get better. We also have a lot of fun at my therapy appointments, which makes it not feel like work. Because I have worked my entire life as a caregiver to help others, being here for rehabilitation as a resident myself and spending time with the other residents in activities, has made this experience all the more meaningful. I would tell anybody who needs physical rehabilitation or if you just need a good place to take care of you, come to Dove Healthcare – South Eau Claire!”

PTA Michelle shared, “Val has been so much fun to work with! She makes everyone's day with her quick wit and is always willing to work up a sweat with
therapy. We're so proud of all the progress she's made!"

“I was admitted to Dove Healthcare – South Eau Claire after being transferred from Mayo Clinic in Osseo, Wisconsin. Since my arrival, I have made good progress and I owe that progress to the excellent care I have received from the entire team of care givers. I chose Dove Healthcare – South Eau Claire due to its excellent reputation, but I stay because of the people. I have had only positive experiences here and cannot think of any negative contact I have had with any employee. Thank you to everyone on the care team for making my rehab experience such a positive one!”

Michelle (PTA) shared, "Ellen has been one of the hardest working, most positive people despite dealing with issues out of her control. She always makes sure we have a laugh in therapy sessions, even on hard days. We're so proud of the progress

Congratulations to Kaylee, our June 2025 Rookie of the Month! “Kaylee has been a welcome addition to the recreation team, and she has brought with her a strong sense of sensitivity, care, and intentionality toward the residents of Dove Healthcare - South Eau Claire. She has blended well into our little family here. It is appreciated how she has integrated into the team, as well as how she collaborates within the recreation department and the other disciplines. We look forward to her continued growth and development in her role as she serves the residents’ social and recreational needs. Thank you, Kaylee, for your contributions to this ‘work of heart’ in which we all share. We are so happy to have you on the team,” shared Recreation Director Mandy Alvar.

Kaylee responded, “After graduating in December, I was searching for a job worth investing in, but I never would have guessed that I would find such a great place to work with people who are so dedicated to caregiving. After receiving my bachelors degree in social work, I have appreciated the opportunities to practice advocacy for this population, as well as develop meaningful relationships that have been fostered through my role here. I look forward to seeing what the future holds and how those relationships continue to flourish.”

Congratulations to Blayden, our June 2025 Employee of the Month! “Blayden is an excellent team member who always goes above and beyond to help those around him. He performs his job with efficiency and care that shows by the smiles on the residents’ faces. He is always willing to help and does so with such a positive attitude! We really appreciate all he does and are so happy to have him here,” shared RN Case Manager Ashley Cetnar.

Blayden responded, “The past year working at Dove Healthcare - South Eau Claire has been a joy! I'm proud to call myself a member of this team because everyone here is lovely to work with (especially RN Russell). I take great satisfaction in giving my best for each and every resident, and I am thankful for this acknowledgement of the work I do.”

We had a lovely Birthday Club celebration in our courtyard to celebrate the birthdays of Lucia and Bobbie! Bobbie turned 88 on July 5th and Lucia will turn 99 on the 25th! The day was full of singing, bubbles, and reminiscing. Happy Birthday, Bobbie and Lucia!

We are excited to announce the HomeGROWN promotion of Emily Gudis to director of operations for Dove Healthcare’s six assisted living locations!

Emily is responsible for overall performance and operations, which includes supervising the assisted living directors and assisted living nurse consultants. Our assisted living locations will benefit greatly from an enhanced, collaborative focus on developing goals, implementing strategy, identifying efficiencies, and leveraging resources

Dove Healthcare has experienced great success over the years with our HomeGROWN approach: recognizing passion, dedication, and capabilities in team members and then supporting them with growth as opportunity arises.

Emily is the perfect fit for this new position having achieved multiple promotions since joining our team almost 10 years ago. She has advanced from resident assistant, lead resident assistant, assistant director, director, multi-location director, and administrator.

We are thankful for Emily’s amazing results with employee recruitment and retention, strong occupancy, positive survey performance, and overall operations. Her breadth of experience - combined with positivity, passion, and commitment - has prepared her for success as director of operations – assisted living.
