Ongoing now is our local VFW raffle. 1 ticket for $5. A book of 6 tickets for $20. Pick up at the Vfw or if youre not able to come in message us and someone will reach out to coordinate bringing you some.

Are you a buisness that would be interested in helping us sell some tickets? We would love to coordinate with you. We can drop off a envelope (for cash) and a stack of tickets and coordinate weekly pickups. Are you a buisness that would like to donate a basket or item for the raffle? One Battle Tenets

1. Objective: One Battle Incorporated, founded by combat veteran David Carlson in 2024, is a nonprofit dedicated to ensuring no veteran is left behind by providing support and resources to those in need.

2. Priority: The organization aims to create a supportive network of veterans to foster meaningful relationships, advocate for themselves, promote sustainable recovery, and use trauma-informed perspectives to re-center duty and mission in veterans' lives.

3. Core Services: One Battle offers supportive housing, peer support, adventure therapy, and workforce development to empower veterans and address issues like housing insecurity, mental health, and substance addiction.

4. Lived Experience: The organization relies on the lived experiences of its team members, using their insights to provide effective, trauma-informed support to fellow veterans.

5. Initial Impact Goals: In its first year, One Battle plans to serve 100 veterans and their families, aiming to establish itself as a leader in veteran support services within five years.

6. Combatting Stereotypes: One Battle defies the narrative that veterans are limited by their service, emphasizing their strengths and potential for success in civilian life.

7. Community and Family Support: The organization seeks to help veterans rebuild relationships with their families and integrate back into the community through various supportive services.

8. Therapeutic Excursions: One Battle uses adventure-based activities like rock climbing and mountain biking to promote mental health and recovery, leveraging veterans' natural inclination for adrenaline and camaraderie.

June is Mens Health Awareness Month, Veterans Appreciation Month, and June 12, is Female Veterans Day. I haven't posted in a while due to some of my own health struggles I was having. I have since gotten those issues under control for now, and I urge anyone who has been putting things off, to set aside your busy life and focus on your health, just for a short time, to get yourself sorted out. Not only for you, but for your family, your friends and your loved ones. It will make all of your lives substantially better.

It has finally started to feel like spring today, warmer weather the sun is up until 730 pm, its great for those of us living with depression. Another thing that helps alot with depression is exercise, use this change in the season to help motivate you to exercize, whether its rolling your wheel chair, walking or running. Don't over do it, but dont do nothing, it can be very beneficial to your mental health ,as well as your physical health. One Battle is a huge advocate of movement, and working out, crossfit, traditional weight lifting, and anything in between that will get you more active, if you need any help, or recommendations, go to onebattle.org, and submit an inquiry, we have people that have done it all on our staff, 5k's to marathons, boxing, wrestling, jujitsu, mma, bodybuilding, and weight cutting, I previously was a certified personal trainer and dietician. Let get mentally and physically fit.
