Happy New Year!
I am near the end of my Soul Collage + Labyrinth Wisdom Retreat with Lisa Mer at The Christine Center.

Last night after the Warrior card, we were invited to join the Qi Gong retreat for Ecstatic Dance. You can join Sandra Mighelle in Eau Claire for Qi Gong and Estatic Dance offerings. Open Spaces Mindful Movement
Dancing was so playful- fire for the Wolf Moon. 🌕

It’s cold out there this morning so I’m remembering the warmth and energy of the dance while I sit with a couple cards created.

How are you starting your new year intentions?

I’ve made a lot of peace with middle of the night waking over the years. I’ve learned to use it for very yin style qi gong breathwork and channel mapping meditations. Learning to see in the dark…
That’s a good way to put it.
Many of you know about how much Jaguar somatic practices and embodiment practices have given me access to qi gong and acupressure that I had previously learned, opening up to new layers of healing, peace and strength.
If you are in perimenopausal threshold space, these conversations hold insights. I was part of the original call series. I’m curious about the 18 month follow up conversation.

I’m home,
Brisk short walk in the cold
And quite content after some quality time with my kids. They are off with friends now and I’m finishing a small project.
We are blessed with a calendar year shift tonight and then space before the lunar new year.
Peace ☮️

These are some holiday craft mix and match to brighten up my home. My Grandma Mike saved these snowflakes I made from 1994. The tape still sticks because she took care with these Dove chocolate wrappers (before they had sayings inside). It’s been almost 1 year without her- moving with my embodied awareness of her, she keeps surprising me!! These snowflakes were an extra special gift from her this year.

Earlier today I got a warning about this business page- apparently I’ve been sharing too many other opportunities and not enough of my own business.

I giggled.
It’s all acupuncture. 🤷‍♀️
It’s all part of healing and wholeness. ⭕️
And community wellness is also necessary for our health- so make sure to get connected with what energizes you and expand your comfort zones.

It’s been a long snake 🐍 year of shedding the old, applying antidotes to toxins and finding ground.

Losing both of my grandmas this year has been big, fortunately I learned many tools dealing with the grief and trauma of my car accident and loss of my bff pupper buddy Tootsie these past couple years. I knew the acupressure and qi gong and flower essences and herbs to apply to care for myself. So while doing intensive self care and family care outside of work hours, I haven’t had much more to share. I have had some very fruitful meditation insights and I try to share this wisdom in sessions where it applies.

As the calendar year closes, I am resting with so much gratitude in my heart for all of my clients who trust me with their wellness care.
💗

I’m looking forward to 2026 and the switch to the fire horse year,
and I look forward to continuing to support your wellness needs with acupuncture, herbs and energy medicine.

Remember to sip your ginger tea and wear your scarf to stay warm during these cold days.

May you be blessed with peace and joy this holiday season!

🎄☮️💗🧣☕️💖🎄

Because I’ve been at the death bed a few times, conversations during client care sometimes turn toward caring for their loved ones through cancer and end of life stages, hospice, caregiver exhaustion and what death looks like and how to handle it. (Recently there have been quite a few shifts so I’m sharing some thoughts and resources here).

Prepare for expected death.

I recommend following Hospice Nursejulie and learn about Death Doulas (my friend Dawn Briskey is one) and talk about it more openly. We are a death and grief phobic culture and it’s part of our ills.
Unexpected death is really traumatic (I know that one too and have some good resources for healing if you experienced that) but expected death doesn’t have to be traumatic.

How do we stay by the sides of our loved ones in their final days and care for the dying process?

How can we prepare ourselves for the some day inevitably for our loved one or ourselves?

How do we care for the caregivers during these expected death states?

Do you have other local resources or thoughts to add to this list?

I will start offering classes in 2026, along with some wonderful healers on topics like this that are important for good living. 💗

Many of my clients have enjoyed the Let Them/Let Me framework and recommended it to me. I have not been called to it. I think it reminds me of something else I’ve learned along my healing journey that just didn’t work or only worked temporarily.

I have also noticed some of the avoidance type stuff come up as friends and clients speak about it. Not always, so you’ll have to check in with yourself. If you haven’t been introduced to Attachment Theory this info might be a little confusing.

Your healing deserves nuance. We are navigating so many layers of relational wounds especially after the collective trauma of the pandemic lock down and continued health destructive forces of viruses and complicated relationships and other traumas.

I’m sharing this because I know someone needs the nuance. Whether that’s for themselves, or maybe to see a loved one with new perspective.

Abuse is abuse.
Hurt people hurt people,
and
Healed people heal people.

I’ll share another useful slogan.
Progress not perfection.

What most of us are missing are skill sets that can be learned. Acupuncture and Qi Gong are helpful for learning some of those skill sets.
