Thank you to all the speakers, advisors, and students who attended this year’s Students Advocating for Excellence (SAFE) Day. SAFE groups are student driven groups in 14 Eau Claire County schools that engage and educate students about alcohol, to***co, drugs, and other topics important to youth.

A total of 128 middle and high school students from around the county gathered to learn how they can make positive impact in their schools and communities. Students learned about advocacy, healthy relationships, impacts of alcohol use, and mental health.

Have you seen Wisconsin’s newest respiratory illness dashboard?

It’s a great tool to check when flu-like illnesses are spreading in our region. (It shows how many health care visits for flu-like symptoms are happening in our region and statewide). Check it out here: https://www.dhs.wisconsin.gov/disease/ilinet-data.htm

Respiratory virus season is here, and our new webpage can show you the percentage of outpatient or urgent care visits for -like illnesses (ILI) in Wisconsin. ILI have symptoms of a fever (temperature of 100 degrees or higher) and a cough or a sore throat. It’s a tool to help you see where flu-like is in so you can protect yourself and your family. Check out the new tool: https://www.dhs.wisconsin.gov/disease/ilinet-data.htm
