We have a lot of Ozzy Osbourne fans here, so Kurt requested that we hold an 'Ozzy Osbourne Head Bangers Bash!' We all had so much fun dancing and singing to our favorite rock classics. Many of us talked about the memories it brought back as we remembered the late rock legend. Kurt, of course, got the VIP treatment upon his arrival to the big bash! Rock on!

Congratulations to Montana, our July 2025 Employee of the Month! “Montana has been a wonderful new addition to the team as a CNA. She is kind, hardworking, and has a great attitude. Thank you for all that you do, Montana, and keep up the awesome work,” shared Nurse Case Manager Kaitlyn Haynes.

Montana responded, “I started at Dove Healthcare – West Eau Claire in December 2024, and I have learned a lot about myself in the months I've been here. I was never really sure what field I wanted to work in, but now that I’ve worked in healthcare, I know that this is what I want to do. Getting to learn alongside some of the most amazing, compassionate people I’ve ever met has been such an impactful experience. My favorite thing about Dove Healthcare – West Eau Claire is the willingness of those I work with to always lend a helping hand. Congratulations to Abby, our July 2025 Employee of the Month! “Abby has been a strong member of the nursing team as a nurse tech. She is a great team player as she is willing to work any assignment, including working as a CNA at times. She is a great communicator and pays attention to details. She is learning a lot through working as a nurse tech while finishing her schooling for nursing. Abby, you are amazing and will be a wonderful nurse,” shared Nurse Case Manager Kaitlyn Haynes.

Abby responded, “After HSHS Sacred Heart closed, I was not sure what I was going to do because that is where I had my life planned out. Life works in funny ways, though, and it led me to Dove Healthcare – West Eau Claire. Here, I have met many great people and have had many opportunities to grow in my nursing career. I love
what I do and am grateful that I can continue to do it at Dove Healthcare – West Eau Claire.”

Jodi was non-ambulatory, using a hoyer lift for transfers, and bed bound when she first arrived. She also had a tracheostomy, initially.

“All the nurses were great and very caring. They were on top of it. If something were wrong, they would get it taken care of right away. My experience with therapy was very good. I enjoyed working with everyone. They pushed me to better myself and not give up. The SCI-FIT and NU-STEP were the key to my success too.

Another major asset in my recovery was participation with the life enrichment department. Bingo and the special outings really helped me keep my sanity and a positive mindset during recovery. I also participated in restorative therapy, which helped me continue to maintain strength and work towards going home."

“Jodi made significant improvements during her stay. She progressed to not needing the trach, being able to walk with a walker, as well as being able to get into a truck to return home with her sister,” shared Lindsey from physical therapy.

Jodi added, “I recommend Dove Healthcare – West Eau Claire as the place to go for rehabilitation and recovery as the care here is exceptional. They truly care for you and want the best for you. The staff were very friendly. I like them all and will miss them.”

We are happy to introduce you to Dove Healthcare’s new Vice President of Operations, Jennifer Burklund!

A 2010 graduate of the health care administration program at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, Jennifer comes to us with over 15 years of long-term care experience. She has spent the majority of her career in Wisconsin nursing homes in a variety of roles; most recently, regional operations support.

Jennifer shared, “I am privileged to lead the team at Dove Healthcare. My priority is to ensure those we serve receive the highest standard of care, and our team feels valued, supported and is set up for success."

Jennifer grew up in New Auburn and lives in Bloomer with her daughter and son. She enjoys spending time with her family, staying active outdoors, travelling with her significant other, Matt, and relaxing on the lake.

Emily is responsible for overall performance and operations, which includes supervising the assisted living directors and assisted living nurse consultants. Our assisted living locations will benefit greatly from an enhanced, collaborative focus on developing goals, implementing strategy, identifying efficiencies, and leveraging resources
