One of the best skills you can learn and develop as it pertains to nutrition, weight loss/maintenance/ overall health, is taking the time for a short while to measure your food to see what an actual serving size looks like. It is an invaluable tool. Controlling overall intake and quantity is the first step to managing body weight. This is a great example of understanding portion control.

If someone were to make this one simple change, and they had a peanut butter and jelly everyday for a snack, by changing their portion sizes to the sandwich on the right, they would be saving themselves almost 2,000 calories a week without changing any other aspect of their diet. 👊🏼

Consistency>Perfection.

There’s a ton of different “diets” there. Enough to make your head spin. You need to ask yourself before starting a new diet, if you can see yourself eating that specific way for the long term. Because if you can’t, the chances of you regaining all of the weight you worked so hard to lose on said diet, increases exponentially. Eat for life. Not for your 3,6, or 12 week challenge/diet. 👊🏼

Anyone else out there love hibachi style steak and shrimp?

This is a quick, delicious and healthy dinner that almost gets made weekly in our house.

We simply season the steak and shrimp with some low sodium soy sauce, grill up some vegetables, and serve it over a bed of rice. You can Google "healthy yum yum sauce" and find some alternative recipes to add even more flavor to your dish. Try it out!
