It's a beautiful snow falling right now, as if to say, soak in this last quiet moment of winter. As we are on the cusp of the Chinese element of water that will break into the element of wood, this poem is where I sit and work from in the coming weeks.

I sit in the snow among the hemlocks in the deepening twilight. Silence.
Moment by moment the long darkness folds around me. Winter earth glows softly blue as black trunks rise from her, resolute messengers of truth. The land breathes into my heart and soul.
"Cherish this night of peace, " she says. " Drink in these hours of stillness. Align yourself with me, remember your place, the ancient way. Enter the womb of darkness. Rest here. Release your thoughts. Unclench your busy hands from ideas of the future. Those whispers of energy you feel in your bones - they are my instructions. Listen. Stay with me. This is the beginning.

I am personally struggling with national news today, and I know I’m not alone in how hard it feels to watch the video out of Minnesota. It hurts. Anxiety spikes. Outrage bombards the social media deluge.

That’s why we are offering a free and open to the public community conversation night to help folks talk about and process whatever burdens their thoughts today. All materials provided for collage. Art therapist Amy Rynn with will be here as well to help guide the process.

Let’s make the world a little less despairing and a little more compassionate. 🧡

I had an amazing time today at Thunder Bay Inn Big Bay. They held their Bi Annual Psychic Fair ✨ Many good stories, goosebumps and serendipitous meetings and moments. Also, food was delicious. Up next, getting the outdoor, creekside “office” up and ready for summer sessions 💕
