Radiologic and Imaging Nurses Day is celebrated annually on April 12.

A radiologist nurse is most commonly called a radiology nurse or an interventional radiology (IR) nurse. They are Registered Nurses (RNs) who specialize in caring for patients before, during, and after imaging procedures (CT, MRI, X-ray) or minimally invasive, image-guided treatments.

Today is your day!

Patient Access Week is April 5-11, 2026.
________________

Patient Access is the gateway to care. It encompasses the people, processes and systems that ensure patients can enter the healthcare system efficiently, safely and with a positive experience. From the first point of contact to the final billing process, Patient Access professionals are essential to both patient satisfaction and organizational success.

Patient Access professionals are often the first and last people a patient encounters, and their role is growing in complexity. In an evolving healthcare landscape, Patient Access teams are at the forefront of improving the patient experience, driving financial outcomes and navigating regulatory changes. Their expertise in communication, data accuracy and revenue integrity helps ensure both patient satisfaction and the financial health of the organization.

Parkinson’s disease is a progressive brain disorder that damages dopamine-producing neurons.

Symptoms generally develop slowly over years. The progression of symptoms is often a bit different from one person to another due to the diversity of the disease. People with PD may experience Tremor, mainly at rest and described as a pill-rolling tremor in hands, slowness and paucity of movement, limb stiffness, and gait and balance problems.

Examples of non-motor symptoms include: depression, anxiety, apathy, hallucinations, constipation, orthostatic hypotension, sleep disorders, loss of sense of smell, and a variety of cognitive impairments.

The cause remains largely unknown. Scientists believe a combination of genetic and environmental factors are the cause.

Occupational Health Nurses Week is a national observance each April that celebrates and recognizes members of the occupational and environmental health nursing profession. While some people understand the functions of a nurse in clinical settings, this week serves as a way to bring attention and awareness to the thousands of "OHNs" who work in promoting and protecting the health of workers in the US and around the globe.

Through case management, coaching and health counseling, health promotion and wellness activities, legal and regulatory compliance, and workplace hazard detection and mitigation, occupational and environmental health nurses improve the health of employees and contribute to a healthy bottom line for businesses.

Thank you all OHNs!
