So let me tell you what team work is…….

A semi tractor trailer has rear wheels on fire on the tractor. A truck driver, a volunteer firefighter, 2 sheriffs deputy, a police chief, a CVE officer, an ambulance crew, and a city maintenance worker, use three 2.5 gal water/foam extinguishers, 6 ABC extinguishers, and a cooler with 17 bottles of water and the water from the melted ice in the cooler, to suppress and almost extinguish the fire until a fire engine can get on scene. Semi saved as well as an entire trailer full of computer servers and AI equipment as well. Thanks to Eddyville & Kuttawa Fire, Lyon SO, Eddyville PD, Lyon EMS, KSP CVE, & Kuttawa Maintenance Dept. JOB WELL DONE!!!

𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘 (𝗔𝗽𝗿. 𝟵, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲): Expect nighttime detours in both directions (EB & WB) on I-24 in Marshall County, between Exit 31 and 27, on Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday, Apr. 14-16 between 9 PM and 6 AM, as weather permits.

➡️An EB detour will be implemented starting as soon as Wed, Apr. 1 to pour concrete near the TN River Bridge end of the project. Estimated to last ~2 weeks.
🔶EB Detour: Take Exit 27 (KY Dam/Calvert City) → U.S. 62 and KY 453 → to return to I-24 EB at Exit 31.

➡️WB nightly detours between Exit 31 and 27 likely to resume on Tues, Mar. 31 and continue for approx. 4 more weeks.
🔶WB Detour: Take Exit 31 (Grand Rivers) → KY 453 and U.S. 62 → to return to I-24 WB at Exit 27.

‼️This means detours are possible in both directions for about 2 weeks in April!
📢Please allow extra travel time and use caution.
⚠️ 55 mph speed limit in the work zone - for the duration of the project!
📅Overall project to reinforce bridge shoulders expected to be completed by fall 2026.

🔶Crews will move to various locations along KY Ave. for concrete rehab work for about the next 6 weeks.
🔶Expect one-lane traffic where crews are working, and lane restrictions on both roadways at intersections.
