rom OralDNA® Labs are fundamental elements of a patient’s wellness plan. OralDNA® currently offers several DNA polymerase chain reaction (PCR) & next-generation sequencing tests:

The Alert 2™ (MyPerioPath® + MyPerioID® IL-6) Identifies one gene marker, IL-6, in combination with the type and concentration of perio-pathogenic bacteria. The MyPerioPath® identifies and measures 11 specific bacteria that are known to significantly contribute to periodontal disease. The MyPerioID® determines whether a patient is susceptible to exaggerated inflammatory responses which may increase the risk and severity of periodontal disease. Celsus One™ evaluates 8 genes associated with increased risk and severity of periodontal disease, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and rheumatoid diseases. The OraRisk HPV (Human papillomavirus) test, detects all HPV type(s) that may be present in the oral cavity. Test report provides information about types that may be associated with an increased risk of oral cancer. OraRisk® HSV assists in accurately identifying oral vesicles, ulcers and other forms of painful oral and throat lesions caused by herpes simplex virus types 1 & 2. OraRisk® Candida identifies all common species of the yeast, Candida; which is known to cause oral thrush in patients with a normal or compromised immune system.
