💫 What are my personal and/or professional intentions for Bali? What do I hope to gain? What do I hope to release?
🌺 Bali is known for its rich spiritual traditions. I am humbly excited for the immersion and marination in Bali’s spiritual culture and traditions. This is a big one for me! Next, comes the Healing and transformation by way of energy work often promote a deeper connection to oneself. With access to Balinese healers, known as "Balians," traditional healers use energy work, herbal medicine, and ritualistic practices to facilitate physical, emotional, and spiritual healing. Many travel and explore Bali for unique, culturally rooted healing experiences. I will be there for it with an open mind and heart. Then, comes the connection with a global community by networking and collaboration through cultural exchange. By engaging with the local culture and community, I feel as though I can broaden my understanding of holistic and spiritual practices from a global perspective, learning from both fellow travelers and Balinese traditions.
🤍 As a Yoga Teacher 🧘 and Reiki Specialist, I look to deep my own reiki knowledge, personal yoga, meditation and mindfulness practices to cultivate a deeper state of presence and awareness. Bali is a hub for various alternative therapies and multiple modalities like sound healing, Reiki, chakra balancing, and Ayurveda, offering yoga teachers and healers new tools to incorporate into our own offerings. And, a big bonus would be looking to obtain new teaching opportunities such as leading future retreats or workshops at this remarkable destination. I anticipate I will gain fresh perspectives and inspiration from Bali’s diverse range of yoga styles, healing practices, and wellness approaches, which I can then can integrate into my own teaching and services back home.
🌱 Nature and Inner Peace ☮️ – my connection to nature and its impact is no secret to many. Bali's breathtaking natural landscapes provide a sacred and serene environment for spiritual seekers looking to reconnect with nature and experience inner peace. And, a natural antidepressant. I am open to receive and integrate.
🕉️ Lastly, the opportunity to reflect on my own personal journey, gaining clarity on life’s direction, relationships, and personal growth through reflection and creative inspiration is important.
💫What’s the best piece of advice I have received?
🌺 Speak authentically, not strategically.
💫 What do I feel most passionate about?
🌺 Authenticity. Peace, love and gratitude. And, I LOVE holding space for others in and through their journey of life. Being the parent of two special needs children has been the most profound challenge of my life. In moments of overwhelming stress, worry, and exhaustion, mindfulness, yoga and meditation have offered me not just relief, but a deeper understanding of my strength. They've helped me see that I am more than a mother, wife, or neighbor—I am a warrior, too.
🧘 As a 200-hour LifePower yoga teacher graduate, my dedication to yoga has flourished with each class I teach. My practice is rooted in creating a healing space for others—whether guiding men, women, children, or seniors through mindful movement and meditation in the west suburbs of Minneapolis, or offering private and semi-private sessions. I provide the equipment, ensuring each person can fully immerse themselves in their journey.
🫶👐🏼In addition to being a yoga teacher, I am a certified peer support specialist and Reiki practitioner and my approach to healing is holistic. I focus on the mental, physical, and emotional aspects of wellness, with a deep passion for helping others find balance and peace through yoga, meditation, and self-care.
Outside of teaching, I cherish spending time with my husband, our three children, and soon-to-be son-in-law. We are a close-knit, dog-loving family that enjoys the outdoors, sports, puzzles, travel, and gardening. I am outgoing and energized by connecting with others, and I truly believe in the transformative power of community and collaboration.
