Today we remember the nearly 3,000 people who lost their lives, the roughly 25,000 that were injured and the countless firefighters, doctors, EMS teams, nurses and other medical staff who bravely responded to this unprecedented emergency.

Former US Senator John Kerry may have said it best: "It was the worst day we have ever seen, but it brought out the best in all of us."

Today is International Overdose Awareness Day.

Common signs of an overdose are vomiting, confusion, being unresponsive, slowed breathing, erratic pulse and/or chest pains.

If you suspect that a loved one is having an overdose, call 911 immediately. Treatments, like Nalaxone, can help reverse symptoms if someone is having an op**te overdose.
