Are you feeling overwhelmed from the pressures of everyday life? Maybe you are not sure of your purpose? Maybe you feel that your personal joy has been stolen from you. Whatever situation that you are currently facing; do not despair there is hope and healing available to you. In John 10:10 Jesus teaches us that he came to give us life and for us to live life more abundantly. I will help you claim the abundant life that God desires for you to have. I am experienced in the following areas: depression, anxiety, life transitions, self-esteem and anger management. I am Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in the state of North Carolina. I am trained from a theoretical integrative approach to counseling where faith is integrated with counseling theory. My approach is uniquely tailored to a client's situation including cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused brief therapy, person-centered therapy
and art therapy. I currently work virtually seeing clients Monday through Thursday. also on www.betterhelp.com/valerie-presley

You may know that anxiety tends to cause the body to heat up (your system gets revved up when you are in fight or flight), but did you know that your medication can also affect how you respond to heat? For example, SSRIs like Prozac and Zoloft can increase sweating, which can then cause dehydration. Tricyclics and anti-psychotics, on the other hand, can impair sweating which makes it harder for your body to cool off. Lots of us are dealing with excessive heat warnings this week; drink lots of water and try not to spend too much time outdoors.

The Hive - Eden

For those who don't know us...

Here is our menu. It's simple, basic but delicious. We will also have a charcuterie board special for Beneath the Surface that will be posted tomorrow.

Good info on medications and how they react to the heat.
