Established in 1961 as a County Hospital District, Concho County Hospital is a 16-bed hospital and is designated by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) as a Critical Access Hospital (CAH). To be designated a CAH, a rural hospital must meet defined criteria that were outlined in the Conditions of Participation 42CFR485 and subsequent legislative refinements to the program through the BBRA, BIPA, the Medicare Modernization Act, the MIPPA, and the PPACA. We are excited about serving the needs of the community in this manner by saving lives and stabilizing patients before transport when necessary. We also provide inpatient and skilled nursing services for our community. Our outpatient services include Observation, Treatment Room, Lab, Radiology, and Computerized Tomography (CT).
