Self-love isn’t bubble baths and checklists (though those can be nice).

It’s listening when your body whispers — instead of waiting until it screams.

It’s honoring your limits without guilt.

It’s choosing nourishment, rest, and boundaries — even when it’s inconvenient.

Always remember to love yourself first 💕

Not all inflammation looks the same.
And it doesn’t always show up as pain.

Diet and lifestyle play a pivotal role in either fueling inflammation… or helping calm it.

In autoimmune conditions, the immune system becomes dysregulated and mistakenly targets the body’s own tissues. What was designed to protect us shifts into a chronic inflammatory state, contributing to ongoing tissue and organ damage over time.

Managing inflammation isn’t optional in autoimmunity—it’s foundational.
When we address root triggers and support the immune system appropriately, we support the body’s ability to heal and function as intended. 🤍

Another throwback 🥹

My heart is so full seeing Jordyn and her husband's journey come to life. After years of dealing with hormonal imbalance, IBS, and infertility, they finally welcomed their first baby, Kai Marie Floerke, in December of 2020. And their journey didn't stop there, a few weeks ago, their second baby, Ryker Allen Floerke, made his earth-side debut on January 22nd, 2023. Through the ups and downs of infertility, Jordyn and her husband have found a silver lining in the form of TWO bundles of joy. 🌈

Jordyn and her husband have been through a lot on their journey to starting a family, and I'm so proud of them for never giving up. Words can't express how much it means to me to have been able to help them on their journey.🥰

Congratulations to the Floerke family and welcome to the world Baby Ryker, your sister Kai has been waiting patiently for you! 💙

Evelyn May Turzinski made her appearance on one of the coldest days of the year — January 23, 2026 ❄️
4 lb 11 oz • 18 inches long • born at 7:13 pm

Read Morgan’s testimonial below… shared while she was pregnant with Evelyn.

After two failed IUIs and five years of trying, Morgan and her husband came to our clinic for care.
Both committed fully to the process, and at the time of this testimony, they were preparing to meet their little one. 💕

Infertility is on the rise, and we’ve been conditioned to believe IUI and IVF are the only paths to parenthood. Sometimes they are… but often, they’re not the only route.

What’s frequently overlooked?
Male health matters just as much as female health. Semen quality doesn’t just impact conception; it directly influences placental health, which nourishes baby throughout pregnancy.

When we address both partners’ health and treat root causes, the results can be life-changing.

Our ability to make thoughtful, deliberate choices depends on access to the upper brain… the center of reasoning, empathy, and perspective.

When the stress response is triggered, that access is reduced. The brain shifts into autopilot, bypassing the prefrontal cortex.

Losing control isn’t a conscious choice. It’s a biological response… the nervous system reacting automatically to perceived threat.

This means two important things can be true at once:
• We are not fully to blame for our reactivity
• And it takes intentional practice to respond differently

Instant reactivity once kept our ancestors alive. Our amygdalae haven’t caught up to the fact that we live in a different world now.

Regulation isn’t weakness.
It’s how we regain access to choice.

As January comes to a close, I'm reminded that even God rested.
Not because the work wasn't important, but because rest is part of the design.

This weekend is a reminder to pause, pray, and realign.
To listen more than push.
To trust that what's growing beneath the surface matters.

God is still working - even in the stillness ✨

When you’ve done everything and still don’t have answers…
There is another way.
Grateful to walk alongside families who refuse to give up on their health. 🤍

✨ Let’s bust some nutrition myths ✨

If you’ve ever been told:
• “Your labs are normal, so you’re fine”
• “Just stop eating that food”
• “Painful periods are normal”
• “Take this supplement and you’ll be fixed”

I want you to hear this 👇
Your symptoms matter.

Bloating, fatigue, gut issues, hormonal pain, cavities, and low energy aren’t random—and they’re not just about willpower or food choices. They’re signals that something deeper needs support.

Nutrition is more than calories.
Gut health is more than food.
Health is more than “normal” labs.
✨ Root cause > quick fixes
✨ Support the body, don’t silence symptoms

Products with fragrance you may not have thought about 🧐
(and why it might be time to ditch them)

When most people think of fragrance, they think skincare or perfume.
But fragrance shows up in many everyday household products… and you may be inhaling or absorbing them daily without realizing it.

Common sources include:
➡️ Deodorant
➡️ Soaps
➡️ Air fresheners
➡️ Dryer sheets
➡️ Laundry detergent

If you struggle with chronic sneezing, congestion, headaches, or respiratory irritation, home fragrances could be a hidden trigger.

Many fragrance blends are made with synthetic chemicals that don’t have to be fully disclosed on labels. These compounds can irritate the nervous system, disrupt hormones, and provoke allergic responses… sometimes even triggering asthma symptoms.

✨ Choosing fragrance-free, low-tox alternatives can make a meaningful difference.

Let’s Get Back To Health!

Functional Medicine is an evolution in the practice of medicine that better addresses the healthcare needs of the 21st century. By shifting the traditional disease-centered focus of medical practice to a more patient-centered approach, functional medicine addresses the whole person, not just an isolated set of symptoms. Functional Medicine practitioners spend time with their patients, listening to their histories and looking at the interactions among genetic, environmental, and lifestyle factors that can influence long-term health and complex, chronic disease. In this way, Functional Medicine supports the unique expression of health and vitality for each individual.
