Today is International Day Against Breast Cancer. Today, we take a stand against this harrowing diagnosis by encouraging each and everyone of you to get tested.

Early detection saves lives. If breast cancer is found early, there are more treatment options available and a better chance for survival. Ask your doctor for a mammogram today.

Today is Metastatic Breast Cancer Day. Metastatic breast cancer, also known as Stage IV breast cancer, is cancer that has spread outside of the breasts to other organs. This stage of breast cancer is treatable but no longer curable.

There are approximately 150,000+ men and women in the United States living with metastatic breast cancer.

We encourage all men and women to get a mammogram annually. Early detection can save your life!

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

JOB SUMMARY:
The CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT (CNA) is responsible for providing routine daily nursing care to assigned client/patient in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations as well as the agency’s established nursing care policies and procedures. The CNA reports to the Director of Nursing (DON).

Primary Functions:
The responsibilities of the CNA position(s) for RISING STAR HOME CARE SERVICES include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Providing nursing assistance to individual client/patients in his/her assigned location for the client.
• Provide quality care and generate a warm and friendly atmosphere for clients/patients.
• Transfer and positioning, grooming, assisting with meals, light housekeeping, maintaining accurate documentation, and other duties that may be assigned by the nursing supervisor.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Must have a face-to-face Interview
• Must have CPR/BLS certification upon hire or obtained during orientation. CPR certification must remain current during employment.
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be certified by the Maryland Board of Nursing as Med Tech, CNA and/or GNA
• Available for flexible scheduling opportunities.
• Graduated high school or obtained a GED.
